The following <br />property may be injuriously or beneficially affected by such <br />vacation: <br />Lots B, C, D, E & F in Davis Plat <br />The Assessment Roll lists $0.00 net damages and $0.00 net benefits <br />to the abutting properties. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the Assessment Roll was filed <br />and set for public hearing on October 12, 1981. <br />PETITION TO VACATE ALLEY (EUCLID PARK ADDITION) <br />A petition was submitted by James E. Rudasics, owner of property <br />located on Clover Street, for the vacation of the east -west alley <br />in the 1300 block of Clover, being the first 14 foot alley north <br />of Northside Boulevard running from Clover Street east to the <br />first north -south alley in Euclid Park Addition. A letter of <br />agreement signed by Mr. Rudasics and Ronald and Helen Beelby, <br />owners of Lots 42 and 43 of Euclid Park Addition, was also <br />�. submitted with the petition. There was a brief discussion on <br />whether or not the Board had jurisdiction over alley vacations <br />because, as of September 1, 1981, according to Home Rule adopted <br />by the state legislature, the Common Council now had the authority <br />to act upon such vacations. Upon a motion made by Mr. Hill, <br />G[ seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the petition was <br />continued to the next meeting of the Board and the Legal Department <br />instructed to research the statutes to determine if the petition <br />should be more appropriately filed with the Common Council for <br />action. <br />REQUEST FOR SUPERWALK - MARCH OF DIMES <br />A letter was received from Thomas S. Burzynski, Executive Adminis- <br />trator of the National'Foundation of the March of Dimes for permission <br />to hold its 12th Annual Superwalk on April 24, 1982, starting and <br />ending in Potowatomi Park in accordance with the route used in <br />previous years. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded <br />by Mr. Hill and carried, the request was referred to the Bureau <br />of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Traffic Division for <br />review and recommendation. <br />REQUEST FOR PARADE - UNITED METHODIST CHURCH <br />A request for a parade on November 1, 1981, at 1:00 p.m., starting <br />at the First United Methodist Church and proceeding south on Main <br />Street to Jefferson Boulevard and on to Century Center was received <br />from William A. Welsheimer, representing the church. Upon a motion <br />made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the <br />request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and <br />the Police Traffic Division for review and recommendation. <br />APPROVAL OF PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR SALE OF <br />CITY -OWNED PROPERTY (106 WALNUT STREET) <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that, in response to an inquiry from <br />Barbara Douglas, 1245 West Washington Street, into the possibility <br />of purchasing the city -owned lot located at 106 Walnut Street, the <br />matter had been referred to the various city agencies for a determin- <br />ation as to whether or not the property should be sold. Favorable <br />recommendations had been received for its sale from the city agencies <br />and the Common Council, an appraisal had been made and an offering <br />price established at $593.00. Mr. Leszczynski stated that Ms. <br />Douglas had executed the Purchase Agreement in the amount of <br />$593.00. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by <br />Mr. Hill and carried, the Purchase Agreement was approved and the <br />matter referred to the Legal Department for preparation of the <br />appropriate Quit -Claim Deed for conveyance of the property. <br />
