REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 14, 1981 <br />Slatile Roofing &Sheet Metal Bid was signed by G. E. Longerot, <br />1703 South Ironwood Drive non -collusion affidavit was in <br />South Bend, Indiana order, and a 5% bid bond was <br />submitted. <br />Fire Station No. 7 $ 7,200.00 <br />6,400.00 (Alternate) <br />Fire Station No. 10 21,350.00 <br />19,200.00 (Alternate) <br />Solar Vents on Station No. 10 300.00 <br />Total Bid $28,850.00 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the above bids were referred to the Building Department <br />and Fire Department for review and recommendation. <br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3513, 1981 - CONFIRMED (LINCOLN MANOR ADDITION) <br />This was the date set for holding a public hearing on Vacation Resolu- <br />tion No. 3513, 1981, for the vacation of the first east -west alley <br />south of Ardmore Trail, running Northeasterly from Bendix to the <br />intersection of the West right-of-way line of the first north -- <br />south alley extended north, being in Westchester lst Addition to <br />the City of South Bend (approximate distance of alley to be vacated <br />is 122 feet). The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice <br />in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found <br />to be sufficient. It was noted that a notice had been sent to all <br />property owners in the vicinity of the proposed vacation and letters <br />had been received from the various city agencies indicating that <br />there was no objection to the proposed vacation. There was no one <br />present to remonstrate against the vacation and no written remon- <br />strances had been received. Mr. Leszczynski noted that the original <br />petition for the vacation had been amended to exclude a north --south <br />portion of alley, thereby not requiring that a portion be dedicated <br />for the north -south alley. Mr. Larry Winsch, representing the AAA <br />Federal Credit Union, and Mr. Lyle Burnside from B & G Construction <br />Company, were present and spoke in favor of the alley vacation. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and <br />carried, the Board confirmed the Vacation Resolution and ordered <br />preparation of the Assessment Roll to be filed on September 21, 1981. <br />APPROVE ASSESSMENT ROLL - VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3511, <br />1981 (ST. JOSEPH'S HOSPITAL) <br />This being the date set, hearing was held on the Assessment Roll with <br />respect to Vacation Resolution No. 3511, 1981, for the vacation of <br />the north nine feet of the South Half of Lot Numbered 286 in <br />Cottrell's Addition to the Town of Lowell, now a part of the City <br />of South Bend. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice <br />in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found <br />to be sufficient. The Assessment Roll lists $0.00 net benefits and <br />$0.00 net damages to the abutting properties. No remonstrances <br />were filed and no one was present to oppose the vacation. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, <br />the Assessment Roll was approved and said resolution is in all <br />things ratified and confirmed and said proceedings closed. <br />APPROVE INTENDED USE OF REVENUE SHARING FUNDS <br />This was the date set for holding a public hearing on the proposed <br />use of revenue sharing funds in the amount of $25,000.00 during <br />the calendar year 1981. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication <br />of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which <br />were found to be sufficient. Mr. Leszczynski noted that this was <br />the public hearing on the proposed use of revenue sharing funds <br />as follows: <br />$25,000.00 Purchase of equipment and materials <br />and remodeling for three police <br />sub -stations <br />
