36 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />AUGUST 10, 1981. <br />The reports of the Area Plan Commission, Community Development <br />Department and Engineering Department indicated that there were no <br />objections to the proposed vacation. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Hill, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the reports were <br />filed and Vacation Resolution No. 3512, 1981, was adopted and <br />set for public hearing on August 31, 1981. <br />APPROVE ADVERTISING FOR BIDS CURB AND PAVEMENT IMPROVEMENTS <br />ON CLEVELAND AND VAN BUREN (NHS PROJECT) <br />Mr. Neil Shanahan, Manager of the Bureau of Public Construction, <br />requested permission to advertise to receive bids for curb and <br />pavement improvements on Cleveland Street and Van Buren, under <br />the NHS project funded through Community Development. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the request was approved, with bids to be received by the Board <br />at its meeting to be held on August 31, 1991. <br />APPROVF ADVERTISING FOR BIDS - REROOFING OF FIRE <br />STATIONS NO 7 AND 10 <br />Mr. James Markle, Building Commissioner, requested permission to <br />advertise to receive bids for the reroofing of Fire Station No. 7 <br />at 1616 Portage Avenue, and Fire Station No. 10 at 308 West <br />Ireland Road. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, <br />the request was approved, with bids to be received by the Board <br />at its meeting to be held on August 31, 1981. <br />FILING OF ASSESSMENT ROLL - VACATION RESOLUTION <br />NO. 3511, 1981 (ST. JOSEPH'S HOSPITAL) <br />John E. Leszczynski, City Engineer, filed an Assessment Roll with <br />respect to Vacation Resolution No. 3511, 1981, for the vacation <br />of the north nine feet of the south half of Lot Numbered 286 <br />Cottrell's Addition to the Town of Lowell, now a part of the <br />City of South Bend. The following property may be injuriously <br />or beneficially affected by such vacation: <br />Lots 285, 286 and 287, Cottrell's Addition <br />to Lowell, City of South Bend. <br />The Assessment Roll lists $0.00 net damages and $0.00 net benefits <br />to the abutting properties. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the Assessment Roll was filed <br />and set for public hearing on September 14, 1981. <br />FILING OF PETITION TO VACATE WELLINGTON ST. (LaSALLE SQUARE ASSOC.) <br />A petition was submitted by LaSalle Square Associates for the <br />vacation of Wellington Street between Ardmore Trail and Prast <br />Boulevard. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. <br />Hill and carried, the petition was referred to the Area Plan Com- <br />mission, Community Development Department and the Engineering <br />Department for preliminary review and recommendation. <br />APPROVAL OF TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the following traffic control devices were approved as <br />recommended by Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of <br />Traffic and Lighting: <br />REMOVE 30 MINUTE PARKING - 1134 Mishawaka Avenue. <br />REVISE TO 2 HOUR PARKING 6 AM - 6 PM - 803-05 Lincolnway West. <br />
