`11 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />JULY 20, 1981 <br />house move. The site plan as approved by the Building Department <br />was submitted. Mr. Leszczynski stated that the Bureau of Traffic <br />and Lighting and the Police Traffic Division had reviewed the <br />request for the house move and concurred with utilization of the <br />following route: <br />St. Louis north to Madison; thence east on Madison <br />to Notre Dame; thence north on Notre Dame to Howard; <br />thence west on Howard to St. Louis and south to <br />destination. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Hill, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and <br />carried, the house move was approved utilizing the above route, <br />subject to any conditions placed upon Mr. Lykowski by the Building <br />Department and Traffic and Lighting Bureau pertaining to the <br />actual house move. <br />APPROVAL OF CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 - SCHINDLER/HAUGHTON <br />ELEVATOR (FIRST BANK CENTER) - <br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that Schindler/Naughton Elevator Company had <br />(� submitted Change Order No. 1 for an addition of $325.00 in its <br />original contract for hydraulic elevators on the First Bank Center <br />for a revision in the elevator interior cab finish to.formica. Mr. <br />Leszczynski noted that the architect and construction manager had <br />reviewed the change order and found it to be in order. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, <br />the change order was approved, bringing the revised total contract <br />amount of $35,681.00. <br />APPROVAL OF CHANGE ORDER NO. 2 - IBG INTERNATIONAL (FIRST BANK CENTER) <br />A change order in the amount of a deduction of $3,060.00 was submitted <br />by IBG International for the revision of clear onodized finish of <br />aluminum for its portion of work being done in the First Bank Center <br />Project skylight. Mr. Leszczynski noted that the architect and <br />construction manager had reviewed the change order and found it <br />to be in order. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan,.seconded by Mr. <br />Hill and carried, the change order was approved, bringing the <br />revised total contract amount of $845,830.00. <br />APPROVAL OF CERTIFICATE OF SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION - <br />H. G. CHRISTMAN (FIRST BANK CENTER) <br />Mr. Leszczynski noted that the Certificate of Substantial Completion <br />for H. G. Christman Construction Company had been approved by the <br />architect for a total contract amount of $2,613,409.00 for the <br />structural concrete and masonry work on the garage. The required <br />Waiver of Lien was also submitted for filing. Upon a motion made <br />by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the Waiver of <br />Lien was filed and the Certificate of Substantial Completion for <br />H. G. Christman was approved. <br />AWARD BID - FIRST BANK CENTER INTERIOR LANDSCAPING <br />A reconmendation from Redevelopment Director, Patrick McMahon, was <br />received for the award of the interior landscaping bid, which bids <br />were received by the Board at its meeting on July 13, 1981. In his <br />letter to the Board, Mr. McMahon recommended that, based on a <br />review by the construction manager and architect for the First Bank <br />Center, the low bid of Tropical Plant Rentals in the amount of <br />$44,103.00 be awarded for the interior landscaping work. Mr. <br />Leszczynski noted that bids were originally received by the Board <br />on April 13, 1981; however, it was decided the project would be <br />re -bid because the bids had come in at such a high costa He <br />stated that the bid of Tropical Plant Rentals was substantially <br />lower than the bids received previously. Upon a motion made by <br />Mr. Hill, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the recommendation <br />was approved and the bid awarded, subject to the filing of the <br />appropriate Certificate of Insurance, Performance Bond and Labor <br />and Materials Payment Bond. <br />
