REGULAR MEETING JULY 13, 1981 <br />FILING OF REMONSTRANCE RE: PARKING LOT OF APOSTOLIC TEMPLE CHURCH <br />A remonstrance was submitted signed by numerous residents in the <br />vicinity of the Apostolic Temple Church, most of whom resided in <br />the 1900 block of Fox Street. The residents were opposed to the <br />arrangements for exiting from the parking lot because of the danger <br />caused to children on the through access drives to their property; <br />because of the drastic change in the original landscaping; and <br />because of inadequate drainage from the lot. Upon a motion made <br />by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the remonstrance <br />was referred to the Engineering Department for review of the <br />parking lot project with officials of the church in an attempt to <br />alleviate and resolve those problems and concerns brought to the <br />attention of the Board. <br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST FOR TEMPORARY TRAILER (PLAYLAND GOLF COURSE) <br />A request from Nunemaker Construction Company for permission to <br />locate a temporary office/sales trailer on the Playland Golf Course <br />for a period of approximately six months commencing on July 20, 1981, <br />was received by the Board. Mr. Leszczynski noted that the Building <br />Department and the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting had no objection <br />to the location of the temporary trailer, provided that no additional <br />access or drive approach was constructed on Lincolnway East from the <br />parking lot. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. <br />Hill and carried, the request was approved, with the restriction <br />that no additional access be made on Lincolnway East, and referred <br />to the Building Department for issuance of the appropriate permit. <br />APPLICATION FOR OPEN AIR STAND LICENSE (RIVER BEND PLAZA) <br />An application for an Open Air Stand <br />for the sale of food and beverages wE <br />134 South Illinois Street. JOSEPH HOSPITAL ROAD RUNS - OCTOBER 18, 1981 <br />A request from St. Joseph's Hospital for permission to conduct <br />two foot races on Sunday, October 18, 1981, beginning at 1:00 p.m., <br />centering around Century Center and the new Marriott Hotel, was <br />received. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill <br />and carried, the request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and <br />Lighting and the Police Traffic Division for review and recommendation. <br />REQUESTS FOR BLOCK PARTIES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the following requests for block parties were referred to <br />the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Traffic Division <br />for review and recommendation: <br />July 25th - 1200 block Terrace Court, from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. <br />July 26th - 1800 block Marine Street (Randolph to Calvert), <br />from 10 a.m, to 10 p.m. <br />August lst - alleys surrounding William Penn Club building <br />at 1024 West Indiana, starting at 12 noon. <br />August 8th - 2313 Hollywood Place to 2421 Hollywood (or 2313 <br />Hollywood to 2433 Hollywood), from noon to 9 p.m., <br />August 16th - portion of Assumption Drive, from 12 noon to.10 p.m. <br />
