REGULAR MEETING JULY 13, 1981 APPROVAL OF BLOCK PARTY REQUEST - CHAPIN STREET (OUR LADY OF HUNGARY SCHOOL) Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, recommended approval, in conjunction with the Police Traffic Division, of the request of Our Lady of Hungary School for the closing of Chapin Street between Calvert and Bruce on August 15, 1981, from 8:00 a.m. until midnight for the school's annual Fun Fair. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the recommendation was approved. APPROVAL OF BLOCK PARTY REQUEST - CLOSE MCPHERSON STREET In conjunction with the Police Traffic Division, Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, recom- mended approval of the block party request of Dorothy Bowles, on behalf of the Pentecostal Church of God in Christ, for permission to close a portion of McPherson Street between Western and Napier on Saturday, August 22nd, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (rain date of August 29th), subject to the following restriction: that a 12-foot clear and unobstructed lane be maintained through any exhibits or booths for the passage of emergency vehicles, which lane can be at either curb or down the center of the street. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the recommendation was approved subject to the above restriction. APPROVAL OF BLOCK PARTY REQUEST - BRIARWAY FROM WOODMONT TO MALVERN WAY A favorable recommendation was received from the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for approval of the block party request of Mary Ellen Diroll on Briarway from Woodmont to Malvern Way on July 18th, from 2:00 p.m. to midnight (rain date of July 19th). Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the recommendation was approved. APPROVAL OF TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the following traffic control device was approved: Removal of "No Parking" and revision to "One -Hour Parking, 6 A.M. to 6 P.M." at 434 North Main Street. APPROVE ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS A request from the Neighborhood Code Enforcement Office was received for permission to have city environmental crews clean the following lots within the city: 1726 S.
