373 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 26. 1983 <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF NUCLEAR WEAPONS.FREEZE CAMPAIGN OF <br />ST. JOSEPH COUNTY TO CONDUCT WALKATHON OCTOBER 1, 1983 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. <br />Kernan and carried, the above request of Mr. John <br />Monczunski received by the Board on. August 29, 1983,' <br />was approved subject to a favorable recommendation being <br />received by the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the <br />filing of the appropriate Certificate of Insurance. <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF WOMEN'S INTERNATIONAL LEAGUE <br />FOR PEACE AND FREEDOM TO CONDUCT RALLY RE: PERSHING II <br />AND CRUISE MISSILES ON RIVER BEND PLAZA - OCTOBER 24, 1983 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager <br />Bureau of. Traffic and Lighting, and Ms. Mikki Dobski, City <br />Events Coordinator, have reviewed the request of Ms. <br />Rolanda L. Hughes presented to the Board on September 19, <br />1983 and recommended approval. Upon a motion made by Mr.' <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above <br />request was approved. <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF ST. JOSEPH MEDICAL CENTER TO <br />CONDUCT SPORTSMED 10K ROADRACE - OCTOBER 2, 1983 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, <br />Manager, Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, has reviewed the <br />request of.Mr. Mark J. Neff, Director, Sports Medicine/ <br />Health Awareness, St. Joseph's Medical Center, presented <br />to the Board on September 19, 1983 and recommends approval. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. <br />Hill and carried, the above request was approved. It was <br />noted that the appropriate $1,000,000.00 Certificate of <br />Insurance naming the City as an additional insured has <br />been provided and is on file. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill <br />and carried, the following five (5) traffic control devices <br />were approved: <br />INSTALL STOP SIGN - On Windingwood at Sylvan Glen. <br />(Uncontrolled "T" Intersection). Requested by: <br />Bureau of Traffic & Lighting. <br />INSTALL STOP SIGN - On Devonshire & Windingwood. <br />(Uncontrolled "T" Intersection). Requested by: <br />Bureau of Traffic & Lighting. <br />INSTALL STOP -,SIGN - On 35th at Chevy Chase. <br />(Uncontrolled "T" Intersection).. Requested by: <br />Bureau of Traffic & Lighting. <br />INSTALL STOP SIGN - ON Windingwood at Bercliff. <br />(Uncontrolled "T" Intersection). Requested by: <br />Bureau of Traffic & Lighting. <br />REVISE TO 30 MINUTE PARKING 6AM-6PM, EXCEPT SUNDAY - <br />1326-1328_S. Michigan. (To improve and provide curb <br />space turnover). Requested by: 1326-1328 S. Michigan. <br />
