380 <br />REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 26, 1983 <br />APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan <br />and carried, the following four (4) handicapped parking <br />permits were approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's <br />office for issuance: <br />Donald L. Robinson, 20875 Louise Lane, S.B <br />Nora J. Hill, 1410 N. Olive, S.B. <br />Dorothy Maternowski, 743 S. Walnut, S.B. <br />Glenn Lesniak, 104 Dixieway N., Roseland <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS <br />A list containing one hundred eighteen (118) lots ordered <br />cleaned by the Director of the Department of Code Enforcement <br />was submitted. It was noted that the property owners had <br />been advised to clean-up the lots and had failed to do so. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill <br />and carried, the above report was filed. <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Mr. Elroy J. Kelzenberg, Director of the Michiana Area CETA <br />Consortium, submitted two lists containing one -hundred three <br />(103) purchase orders and recommended approval.of payment. <br />Chief Deputy Controller Sherrie L. Petz, submitted Claim <br />Docket No. 18876 through Claim Docket No. 19631 and recommended <br />approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by <br />Mr. Kernan and carried, the above reports were filed and the <br />claims approved. <br />PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR:. <br />REQUEST FOR RESPONSE TO LETTER SUBMITTED TO BOARD <br />MEMBERS CONCERNING STUDEBAKER COLLECTION <br />Mr. Ronald P. Radecki, 123 South St. Peter Street, addressed <br />members of the Board and asked if a response had been prepared <br />to his letter of September 19, 1983 to the Board of Public <br />Works regarding the Studebaker Collection. It was noted that <br />Mr. Radecki's letter to the Board was received after the <br />regular Board meeting held on Monday, September 19, 1983 <br />but copies were distributed to Board members. In his letter, <br />Mr. Radecki asks ten (10) questions of the Board concerning <br />the involvement of the Board of Public Works with the Studebaker <br />Collection and Studebaker, Inc. <br />Mr. Kernan responded to Mr. Radecki by stating that the Board <br />did receive his letter of September 19, 1983 but that he has <br />not had time to put together a response but will do so and <br />will get back to Mr. Radecki within the next couple of weeks. <br />Mr. Radecki stated that by that time some of the questions <br />raised will be moot and that he was hoping to get a response <br />to his questions today. <br />Mr. Kernan again stated that the Board does not have anything <br />at this time but assured Mr. Radecki that he would get a written <br />response to his letter. <br />Mr. Hill reiterated that the Board's response to Mr. Radecki's <br />questions would be in the form of a written response. <br />1 <br />
