REGULAR MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 6, 1983 <br />APPROVE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CONTRACT <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill <br />and carried, the following Community. Development contract <br />was approved: <br />HANSEL NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICE CENTER, INC, <br />HANSEL CENTER CARRIAGE HOUSE REHABILITATION <br />The targeted goal for.the Hansel Center Carriage House <br />Rehabilitation Project is to conduct physical improve- <br />ments to the interior and exterior of the building. <br />These physical improvements will bring the building <br />up to code as well as enhance its exterior facade. <br />The total cost of the Hansel Center Carriage House <br />Rehabilitation. Project shall not exceed $25,000.00. <br />APPROVE CONTRACTOR AND HOMEOWNER AGREEMENTS - BUREAU <br />OF HOUSING NEIGHBORHOOD PAINT -UP PROGRAM <br />Ms. Janet S. Holston, Director, Bureau of Housing, presented <br />to the Board for approval four (4) Neighborhood Paint -Up <br />Program Agreements for the Rehabilitation of Real Property <br />between the Board of Public Works and Homeowner(s) and <br />Neighborhood Paint -Up Program Agreements for the Repair of <br />Real Property between the Board of Public Works and Contractor. <br />The Agreements submitted are as follows: <br />1. Homeowner: <br />Dorothy Keefer <br />Address: <br />726 West Calvert <br />Contract Price: <br />$490.00 <br />Contractor: <br />Campbell Electric Company <br />2. Homeowner: <br />Lois Staggers <br />Address: <br />630 East Haney <br />Contract Price: <br />$500.00 <br />Contractor: <br />V.V. Engle Construction <br />3. Homeowner: Florence Odvnski <br />Address: 1329 W. Dunham <br />Contract Price: .$79.00 <br />Contractor: Bockaj Construction Company <br />4. Homeowner: <br />Address: <br />Contract Price: <br />Contractor: <br />Sophie Laskowski <br />1224 West Grace <br />$494.00. <br />E.W. Stillson <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the above Agreements were approved and executed. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS - <br />REPAIRS AND REMODELING FOR HOUSE/POLICE SUBSTATION <br />AT 420 NORTH FRANCES STREET <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. John E. Leszczynski, Director,. <br />Public Works, indicated that the Department of Engineering <br />has prepared plans and specifications for the upgrading of the <br />Police. sub -station located at 420 North Frances. He is request- <br />ing, therefore, permission to advertise to receive bids on this <br />project. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by <br />Mr. Hill and carried, the above request was approved. <br />APPROVE TITLE SHEET - REPAIRS AND REMODELING FOR HOUSE/ <br />POLICE SUBSTATION AT 420 NORTH FRANCES STREET <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Title Sheet for the above <br />referred to project was being presented at this time for <br />execution. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded <br />by Mr. Hill and carried, the above Title Sheet was approved <br />and signed. <br />1 <br />C, <br />1 <br />
