REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 6, 1983 APPROVE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CONTRACT Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the following Community. Development contract was approved: HANSEL NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICE CENTER, INC, HANSEL CENTER CARRIAGE HOUSE REHABILITATION The targeted goal for.the Hansel Center Carriage House Rehabilitation Project is to conduct physical improve- ments to the interior and exterior of the building. These physical improvements will bring the building up to code as well as enhance its exterior facade. The total cost of the Hansel Center Carriage House Rehabilitation. Project shall not exceed $25,000.00. APPROVE CONTRACTOR AND HOMEOWNER AGREEMENTS - BUREAU OF HOUSING NEIGHBORHOOD PAINT -UP PROGRAM Ms. Janet S. Holston, Director, Bureau of Housing, presented to the Board for approval four (4) Neighborhood Paint -Up Program Agreements for the Rehabilitation of Real Property between the Board of Public Works and Homeowner(s) and Neighborhood Paint -Up Program Agreements for the Repair of Real Property between the Board of Public Works and Contractor. The Agreements submitted are as follows: 1. Homeowner: Dorothy Keefer Address: 726 West Calvert Contract Price: $490.00 Contractor: Campbell Electric Company 2. Homeowner: Lois Staggers Address: 630 East Haney Contract Price: $500.00 Contractor: V.V. Engle Construction 3. Homeowner: Florence Odvnski Address: 1329 W. Dunham Contract Price: .$79.00 Contractor: Bockaj Construction Company 4. Homeowner: Address: Contract Price: Contractor: Sophie Laskowski 1224 West Grace $494.00. E.W. Stillson Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above Agreements were approved and executed. APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS - REPAIRS AND REMODELING FOR HOUSE/POLICE SUBSTATION AT 420 NORTH FRANCES STREET In a letter to the Board, Mr. John E. Leszczynski, Director,. Public Works, indicated that the Department of Engineering has prepared plans and specifications for the upgrading of the Police. sub -station located at 420 North Frances. He is request- ing, therefore, permission to advertise to receive bids on this project. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above request was approved. APPROVE TITLE SHEET - REPAIRS AND REMODELING FOR HOUSE/ POLICE SUBSTATION AT 420 NORTH FRANCES STREET Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Title Sheet for the above referred to project was being presented at this time for execution. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above Title Sheet was approved and signed. 1 C, 1
