339 <br />REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 15, 1983 <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. <br />Hill and carried, the following one (1) traffic control <br />device was approved: <br />REVISE TO STOP SIGN - On Kettering at Gordon. <br />(Reduced site distance). Requested by: resident <br />at 1535 N. Gordon. <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS <br />A list containing a total of one -hundred and seventeen (117) <br />lots ordered cleaned by the Director,of the Department of <br />Code Enforcement was submitted. It was noted that the - <br />property owners had been advised to clean up the lots and <br />had failed to do so. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the report was filed. <br />APPROVE RELEASE OF CONTRACTOR'S BONDS. <br />Mr. Ray S. Andrysiak, P.E., Engineering Department, recommended <br />the Board release the Contractor's Bonds of William J. Suski, <br />effective August 26, 1983 and Richard Joseph Flowers,.effective <br />August 15, 1983. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above Contractor's <br />Bonds were released. <br />APPROVE CONTRACTOR'S BOND <br />Mr. Ray S. Andrysiak, P.E., Engineering.Department, recommended <br />the Board approve the Contractor's Bond -of.D and D Custom <br />Concrete Contractors, Inc. effective August 15, 1983. Upon <br />a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the above Contractor's Bond was approved.. <br />APPROVE RELEASE OF EXCAVATION BOND <br />Mr. Ray S. Andrysiak, P.E., Engineering Department, recommended <br />the Board release the Excavation Bond for Eagle Excavation, Inc. <br />effective November 17, 1983. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski,.seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above <br />Excavation Bond was released <br />FILING OF HUMANE SOCIETY REPORT - JULY <br />The Humane Society monthly report for July indicated the <br />following animals handled for the City of South Bend: <br />Dogs handled: 270 <br />Cats handled: 212 <br />Other animals handled: 88 <br />TOTAL: 570 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski; seconded by Mr. Hill <br />and carried, the above report was filed. <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Mr. Elroy J. Kelzenberg, Director of the Michiana Area CETA <br />Consortium, submitted a report indicating one hundred forty- <br />nine (149) purchase orders and recommended approval of. <br />payment. Chief Deputy Controller Sherrie`L. Petz, submitted <br />Claim Docket No. 16028 through Claim Docket No. 16544 and <br />recommended approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, <br />seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above reports were <br />filed and the claims approved. <br />
