' `J <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR: <br />AUGUST 15, 1983 <br />CONCERNS REGARDING RECONSTRUCTION OF SEEBIRT COURT <br />Mr. Robert L. Frickson, 912 W. LaSalle Street, South Bend, <br />Indiana, addressed the Board and indicated that he and <br />other neighbors who have real estate adjoining Seebirt <br />Court are opposed to the changes being considered by <br />the City for Seebirt Court. He indicated that they <br />are in favor of repairs being made but want to keep <br />the green median strip in the center of the Court. <br />He further stated that the Court is an integral part <br />of the neighborhood and the neighbors are against any <br />topographical or ecological changes being made. <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that concrete work needs to be <br />done in the area as the Court is very narrow.and <br />vehicles are driving on the sidewalks. Additionally <br />considered is the widening of the Court itself to <br />better accommodate vehicles and Street Department' <br />equipment. Mr. Leszczynski additionally advised that <br />the sewer,located under the grassy median strip is to <br />be replaced with a larger sewer to alleviate some <br />problems that have occurred in the area. <br />Mr. Leszczynski and the Board thanked Mr. Frickson for <br />presenting the comments of the neighborhood to the Board <br />and indicated that they will be taken under consideration. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and <br />carried, the meeting was adjourned at 9:55 a.m. <br />ILA'- V�4 <br />� 4aAjkg�- <br />n E.
