33S <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />AUGUST 15. 1983 <br />needs to be rebuilt. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above request was approved. <br />APPROVE TITLE SHEETS <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Title Sheets for the following <br />projects were being presented at this time for execution.: <br />1. MIAMI/IRELAND RETENTION BASIN REPAIRS <br />2. CONSTRUCTION OF BASKETBALL COURT BEHIND <br />EAST SECTOR POLICE SUBSTATION <br />3. RECONSTRUCTION OF S. HAWTHORNE STREET SANITARY SEWER <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the above Title Sheets were approved and signed. <br />REQUEST TO CONDUCT STREET SERVICES REFERRED. <br />In a letter to the Board, Ms. Dora Lottie, 2024 Pershing Street, <br />South Bend, requested permission to conduct street services on <br />the corner. of Chapin and Napier during the first two weeks in <br />September from 6 to 8 p.m. She indicated that services will <br />be conducted by she and her co-workers and that they are members <br />of the Church of God in. Christ Saints Memorial, 321 South <br />Liberty Street, South Bend. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above <br />request, was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting <br />for review and recommendation. <br />REQUEST TO CONDUCT BLOCK PARTIES REFERRED <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following block party requests <br />have been received: <br />1. 600 Block of'Studebaker <br />September 5, 1983 <br />1 p.m. to 6 p.m. <br />Petitioner: Thomas Lue, 643 LaPorte <br />2. 4700 Block of Williamburg Court <br />September 5, 1983 <br />11:30 a.m, to 7:30 p.m. <br />Petitioner: Richard Thomas, Community Chairman <br />Harbor Homes Community Council, 309 Boston Dr. <br />3. 900 Block of North Adams Street from <br />Lincolnway West to California Street <br />September 3, 1983 <br />12:00 noon until 8 p.m. <br />Petitioner: C. Jerry Wroblewski, 906 N. Adams <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the above requests were referred to the Bureau of <br />Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division <br />for review and recommendation. <br />APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill <br />and carried, the following six (6) handicapped parking permits <br />were approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's.office <br />for issuance: <br />Agnes DeWitt, 500 Lincolnway East, Mish. - <br />Ethurel Ivory, 206 N. Wellington, S.B. <br />Linda Schlabach, 1007 Roosevelt, Apt. C, Mish. <br />John Aron Smith (Cathy mother), 1309 Providence <br />Elmer Lacy, 833 S. Lake, S.B. <br />Harry Johnson, 1217 N. Meade, S.B. <br />
