337 REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 15, 1983 WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works now wishes to take the necessary action to make it possible for the Board, in the future to sell said parcels of real estate pursuant to State Statutes. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: That the parcel of real estate owned. by the City contained in the following list is not necessary -to the public use and is not set aside by state or City law for public purposes: Address Deed No. 505 E. Parmerlee, Clerk APPROVE PURCHASE AGREEMENT - SALE OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTY AT 1034 WEST NAPIER: Mr. Leszczynski advised that, in accordance with the bid awarded on July 18, 1983, for the purchase of the city - owned lot at 1034 West Napier, in the amount of $75.00, the Purchase Agreement was being submitted at this time for Board approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the Purchase Agreement was approved and the matter referred to the City Attorney's office for drafting of the appropriate Quit -Claim Deed. APPROVE WARRANTY DEED - MILO DEAN HUTCHINS Mr. Leszczynski presented to the Board a Warranty Deed which was received from Milo Dean Hutchins to the City of South Bend. He advised that the deed transfers property to the City which is needed for the passing blisters which are being built adjacent to State Road #23. These improve- ments are necessary due to the construction of the ethanol plant. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above Warranty Deed was approved. APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS - MIAMI/IRELAND RETENTIONBASIN REPAIRS In a letter to the Board, Mr. Neil A. Shanahan, Manager, Bureau of Public Construction, requested permission to advertise for receipt of bids for. Miami/Ireland Retention Basin Repairs. Mr. Leszczynski advised that the repairs will include cleaning and regrading. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above request was approved. , APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT_OF BIDS - RECONSTRUCTION OF SOUTH HAWTHORNE STREET' SANITARY SEWER In a letter to the Board, Mr. David A. Wells, P.E., Manager, Bureau of Design and Administration, requested permission to advertise for the reconstruction of the South Hawthorne Street sanitary sewer. Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Bureau of Sewers has had problems in the area and the sewer
