324 <br />REGULAR MEETING AUGUST.1, 1983 <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF FIRST SOURCE CENTER TO ERECT DIRECTIONAL SIGN <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the First Source Center has requested. <br />permission to erect a directional sign on the edge of the west <br />property line on the Washington Street side of the structure. <br />As the sign will encroach onto.the public right-of-way, a <br />$1,000,000 Certificate of Insurance will be required. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and <br />carried, the above request was approved,,subject to the filing <br />of the appropriate insurance. <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF LYKOWSKI CONSTRUCTION, INC. TO MOVE A <br />STRUCTURE FROM THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND TO ST. JOSEPH COUNTY <br />In a letter to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, Mr. Timothy <br />J. Lykowski, President, Lykowski Construction, Inc., House <br />Moving Engineers, requested approval to move a steel canopy <br />roof from the Seven/Eleven construction site at Edison and <br />Ironwood.to Dean's Service Center, 23487 S.R. 23 in St. <br />Joseph County. The route to be used is as follows:. Ironwood, <br />South to Ewing, thence, Ewing, West to Twyckenham; thence, <br />Twyckenham South to Miami,, thence, Miami South to Ireland, <br />thence, Ireland Road West to the East entrance of Dean's Service <br />Center located on Ireland Road. Mr. Leszczynski advised that <br />the date of the move is to be determined and that Mr. Ralph J. <br />Wadzinski, Manager, Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, has reviewed <br />the above request and recommends approval. Upon a motion made <br />by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above <br />request was approved. <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATIONS - OPEN AIR STANDS <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following license applications <br />have been received: <br />ROSE'S RECYCLING NEEDS <br />BY: Rose Marie Mitchell <br />1214 North Meade Street <br />Stand to be located at: at vacant lot adjacent <br />to service station at 202 South Chapin Street <br />Dates: Month of August (M-F 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.) <br />TARA J PLANTS <br />BY: John Simpson <br />8030 N.W. 20 Ct. <br />Sunrise, Florida <br />Stand to be located at: 1711 South Bend Avenue <br />for the purpose of selling tropical plants <br />Dates: August 10, 1983 - September 9, 1983 (9 a.m. - 9 p.m.) <br />Mr. Leszczynski further advised that favorable recommendations have <br />been received from the Police Department, Department of Code <br />Enforcement and the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for the above <br />two applications. Approval of the license application of Tara J <br />Plants at 1711 South Bend Avenue was recommended subject to a <br />"plot plan" being approved by the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting <br />to facilitate traffic flow to and from the Open Air Stand. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the above license applications were approved and <br />referred to the Deputy. Controller's Office for issuance. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ERECT TENT FOR RETAIL OPEN AIR <br />TROPICAL PLANT TENT SALE <br />Mr. Leszczynskiadvised that Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager, <br />Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, has reviewed the request of Mr. <br />John Simpson, 8030 N.W. 20 Ct., Sunrise, Florida, to erect a <br />tent, presented to the Board on July 25, 1983, and recommends <br />approval.suject to a "plot plan" of tent location and parking <br />spaces being completed. Mr. Simpson will be advised that a <br />Certificate of Flame Retardance and a permit from the Building <br />1 <br />
