PRIMARY BID: $44,250.00 EXCELLANCE, INC. Bid was signed by Drew Pickens, P.O. Box 1330 Vice -President, Non -Collusion Huntsville, Al. 35804 Affidavit was in order and a Cashiers Check in the amount of $4,597.00 was submitted. PRIMARY BID: $45,970.00 TRADE IN 7,500.00 Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above bids were referred to the Fire Department for review and recommendation. APPROVAL OF SALE OF CITY-014NED PROPERTY - 606 CARROLL STREET It was noted that bids for the sale of this property were accepted and opened at the Board meeting held on July 11, 1983. At that time, two bids were received each in the amount of $220.00. The Clerk was instructed to contact both bidders and ask for re- submission of bids for the property. Mr. Marion Treat, 612 Carroll Street, has now submitted to the Board a copy of a letter he has written to Mr. Rozell Murray, 604 Carroll Street, the other person who submitted a bid on July 11, 1983 for the property. The letter to Mr. Murray states that since he has waived his right to purchase the property, Mr. Treat intends to purchase it for the original bid price of $220.00 with the stipulation that Mr. Murray will be permitted to maintain a garden on that piece of property which he currently uses. Based on this agreement between the parties, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the bid of Mr. Marion Treat in the amount of $220.00 was accepted and the matter referred to the City Attorney's office for the drafting of the appropriate Purchase Agreement. 1 I 1
