REGULAR MEETING JUNE 27, 1983 '281 1 [1 1. Northeast corner, on Colfax at Lafayette. 2. On Colfax at St. James.Court. 3. Alongside Central High School. 4. Southwest corner, on Washington at William. 5. Northwest corner of Lafayette and South. 6. Northeast corner, on Wayne at Lafayette. 7. On Jefferson Blvd., north side of the street, approximately 1/4 block west of Lafayette. 8. On Lafayette at Columbu's Ct. Dates: July 2, 1983 (during the Ethnic Festival Parade) for the purpose of selling soft drinks. KEN'S FIREWORKS KEN VAN CLEVE 3121 Bentley Lane South Bend, Indiana Stand to be located at: 2124 E. McKinley at Zwierzynski Marathon Dates: Present to July 4, 1983 for the purpose of selling fireworks BIG BOOM FIREWORKS J.V. PEACOCK 16533 Cleveland Road Granger, Indiana Stands to be located at: Dates: Present to July 4, selling fireworks 4615 Miami and 1801 South Bend Ave. 1983 for the purpose of ZEKE'S ELECTRONICS KARLENE ZICK 109 State Line Road Niles, Michigan Stand to be located at: 4425 South Michigan Dates: Present to July 4, 1983 for the purpose of selling fireworks Mr. Leszczynski further advised that favorable recommendations have been received on Ken's Fireworks, Big Boom Fireworks and Zeke's Electronics, from the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, the Police Department and the Department of Code Enforcement. All applicants have provided a letter from the property owner granting permission to erect an open air stand on said property and have additionally provided a copy of their Fireworks Stand Retail Sales Permit issued by the State Fire Marshall. Mr. Leszczynski stated that the application of Knute Rockne Babe Ruth was just recently received and as of yet the necessary departments have not provided their recommendations. Based on. the fact that the applicant wishes to operate on July 2, 1983, Mr. Leszczynski recommended that this application be approved subject to favorable recommendations being received from the necessary departments conducting a review of the application and subject to the applicant providing the Board with a Certificate of Insurance in the amount of $1,000,000.00 naming the City of South Bend as an additional insured. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above applicants, subject to the provisions outlined above, were approved. The applications of Ken's Fireworks, Big Boom Fireworks and Zeke's Electronics were referred to the Deputy Controller's Office for issuance.
