2(0 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />JUNE 20, 1983 <br />REQUEST TO ERECT TENT REFERRED - MIRACLE REVIVAL <br />DELIVERANCE CENTER CHURCH <br />In a letter to the Board, Pastor Eugene Raggins, 618 West <br />LaSalle Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, Pastor of the Miracle <br />Revival Deliverance Center Church, 24103 Fillmore Road, South <br />Bend, Indiana, requested permission to erect a Gospen tent <br />on the corner of Grant Street at West Washington Street <br />across from the O'Brien Paint factory. He stated that the <br />property is owned by the Batteast Construction Company. Mr. <br />Batteast has given the church permission to put the tent on <br />the property for the revival beginning on July 1, 1983 for <br />two weeks until July 15, 1983. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above request <br />was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for <br />review and recommendation. <br />DENY LICENSE APPLICATION - SECONDHAND DEALER <br />Mr. Kernan advised that a license application has been received <br />from Mr. John F. Kendall of John's Used Furniture, 525 West <br />Indiana Avenue, South Bend, Indiana. Reports have been <br />received from the Police Department, Bureau of Traffic and <br />Lighting, the Department of Code Enforcement and the Fire <br />Department. The Fire Department has advised that an <br />inspection of the premises made on March 17, 1983 indicated <br />that violations of December, 1982 were not complied with and <br />an extension was granted. A;recent inspection of the premises <br />made on June 15, 1983 indicates that Mr. Kendall has still not <br />complied with fire codes. Based on this fact, upon a motion <br />made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the <br />above license was denied. <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - SECONDHAND DEALER <br />Mr. Kernan advised that a license application was received <br />from Dina Tiller, 234 East Oakside, South Bend, Indiana to <br />operate the Nearly New Boutique at 2113 1/2 Miami Avenue, <br />South Bend, Indiana. He further advised that favorable <br />reports have been received from the Police Department, Fire <br />Department, Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Department <br />of Code Enforcement. Upon a motion made by Mr..Kernan, <br />seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above license applica- <br />tion was approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's <br />office for issuance. <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATIONS - OPEN AIR STANDS <br />Mr. Kernan advised that the following license applications <br />have been received: <br />VIRGIL C.
