268 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />JUNE' '2'0 , 19'83 <br />ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO 16-1983 - SALE OF CITY <br />OWNED PROPERTY (508 & 510 EAST SOUTH STREET') <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the following Resolution No. 16.-1983 for the purchase <br />of city --owned property at 508 & 510 East South Street was <br />adopted: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 16-1983 <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of <br />South Bend has compiled a current detailed inventory <br />of all real property owned by the City of South Bend; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works has reviewed said <br />inventory of real property and it finds that certain of <br />the parcels of real estate now owned by the City of South <br />Bend, are not necessary to the public use and are not set <br />aside by state and city laws for public purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works now wishes to take <br />the necessary action to make it possible for the Board, <br />in the future to sell said parcels of real estate <br />pursuant to State Statutes. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public <br />Works of the City.of South Bend, Indiana: <br />That the parcels of real estate owned by the <br />city contained in the following list are not <br />necessary to the public use and are not set <br />aside by state or city law for public purposes: <br />Address Deed No. <br />508 E. Parmerlee, Clerk <br />APPROVE SUPPLEMENT TO AND AMENDMENT OF EASEMENT AGREEMENT AND <br />GRANT OF RIGHTS IN EASEMENT AREAS (SOUTH BEND MARRIOTT HOTEL) <br />Mr. Hill advised the Board that the Supplement to and Amendment <br />of Easement Agreement and Grant of Rights in Easement Areas <br />to be entered into by Mayor Roger 0. Parent and the Board of <br />Public Works - City of South Bend, City of South Bend Depart- <br />ment of Redevelopment and South Bend Joint Venture confirms <br />that a previously granted easement to Rahn Properties II <br />includes an easement with respect to the steps of the South <br />Bend Marriott Hotel which encroach into the Washington Street <br />right-of-way. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by <br />Mr. Hill and carried, the above agreement was approved and <br />executed. <br />APPROVE TRIPARTITE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE NEIGHBORHOOD <br />REINVESTMENT CORPORATION, THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND AND <br />NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSING SERVICES OF SOUTH BEND, INC., FOR <br />THE DEVELOPMENT OF AN EXPANDED NHS PROGRAM <br />Ms. Ann Kolata, Deputy Executive Director, Department of <br />Redevelopment and NHS Board member, advised the Board that <br />this tripartite agreement is between the Neighborhood Re- <br />investment Corporation, the City of South Bend and Neighborhood <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />
