REGULAR MEETING <br />MAY 31. 1983 <br />REQUEST TO CONDUCT BLOCK PARTY - EDGEWATER DRIVE <br />(JUNE 18, 1983) REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Ms. Lori Frey, 507 River Avenue, <br />South Bend, Indiana on behalf of the Edgewater Place <br />Neighborhood Association requests that the 500 block of <br />Edgewater Drive be closed to traffic from the intersection <br />of Arch and Edgewater on one end and Monroe and Edgewater <br />on the other end on June 18, 1983 (with a rain date of <br />June 19, 1983) beginning at noon for the Edgewater Place <br />Neighborhood Association Annual Block Party. Upon a motion <br />made by Mr...Leszczynski seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the above request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic <br />and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division for <br />review and recommendation. <br />REQUEST TO CONDUCT BLOCK PARTY - 1100 BLOCK NORTH <br />ST. PETER (JUNE 18, 1983) REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr.,Joseph Stante, 1121 North St. <br />Peter Street, South Bend, requests permission to have the <br />1100 block of North St. Peter Street closed to traffic on <br />Saturday, June 18, 1983 from the hours of 2:00 p.m. to <br />10:00 p.m, for the purpose of having a block party. Upon a <br />motion made by 14r. Leszczynsl:i, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the above request was referred to the Bureau of <br />Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic <br />Division for review and recommendation. <br />REQUEST TO CONDUCT BLOCK PARTY - 900 BLOCK NORTH <br />ADAMS STREET (JUNE 19, 1983) REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. C. Jerry Wroblewski, 906 <br />North Adams Street, South Bend, Indiana, on behalf of the <br />residents of the 900 block of North Adams Street request the <br />closure of the 900 block of North Adams Street for the purpose <br />of holding a block party. They request that North Adams <br />Street be blocked from the first alley north of Lincolnway <br />West to California Street on June 19, 1983 from 12:00 noon <br />to 8:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded <br />by Mr. Hill and carried, the above request was referred to the <br />Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department <br />Traffic Division for review and recommendation. <br />REQUEST FOR TRAFFIC ASSISTANCE - VETERANS'S JUDICIAL <br />REVIEW RIGHTS DAY (JUNE 14. 1983) REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Stephen S. 11arozsan, Chairman <br />of the Veterans for Constitutional Rights, Inc., 54361 Palmer <br />Street, South Bend, Indiana informed the Board that on June <br />14th at 12:00 noon the Veteran's for Constitutional Rights, <br />Inc. will be planning a Day of Proclamation Ceremonies to be <br />in commeration of Veterans Fighting to obtain their Constitu- <br />tional Rights. The day will be recognized by the city <br />administration and the county commissioners as Veterans <br />Judicial Review Rights Day. Mr. Marozsan is requesting that <br />"reserved street parking signs" be placed on the north side of <br />the Monument on.Washington Street and along the east side of <br />of the old Court House -to assist the many veterans that will <br />be attending the ceremonies. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above <br />request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting <br />and the Police Department Traffic Division for review and <br />recommendation. <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />
