REGULAR MEETING <br />MAY 16. 1983 <br />Contract with Southold Heritage Foundation for <br />Southold Administration Activity. The targeted <br />goals for the Southold Administration Activity <br />are: <br />Monroe Park Ofc. W. Washington Ofc. <br />Counseling Contracts 230 1,0()0 -- <br />Inspection 15 (paint -up) 100 <br />Comprehensive Study 1 <br />(written report) <br />Educational Presentations 6 <br />Planning & Development for <br />residential construction 1 <br />(written report) <br />The total cost of this activity shall not exceed $65,000.00. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF PROPOSALS - <br />CETA AUDIT SERVICES <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Elroy J. Kelzenberg, Executive <br />Director, Michiana Area CETA Consortium requested that the <br />Board of Public Works advertise an invitation for the receipt <br />of proposals for CETA audit services per an audit proposal <br />which was prepared. Upon a motionmadeby Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the request was approved. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS - <br />SALE OF ABANDONED VEHICLES <br />Ms. Katherine Barnard, Director of the Department of Code Enforce- <br />ment, requested permission to advertise for the sale of approximately <br />twenty (20) abandoned vehicles, sixteen (16) of which were valued <br />at over One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) and all of which were <br />being stored at the Hurwich Impoundment Lot, 1610 Circle Avenue. <br />It was noted that all vehicles had been stored more than the <br />required thirty (30) days, identification checks had been run <br />for auto theft, andthe owners and lienholders notified. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the request was approved and a date of May 31, 1983 was established <br />for the receipt of sealed bids. <br />ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 11-1983 - SALE OF CITY -OWNED <br />PROPERTY (1034 EAST CEDAR) <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan <br />and carried, the following Resolution No. 11-1983 for the <br />purchase of city -owned property at 1034 East Cedar Street was <br />adopted: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 11-1983 <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of South <br />Bend has compiled a current detailed inventory of all real <br />property owned by the City of South Bend; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works has reviewed said <br />inventory of real property and it finds that certain of <br />the parcels of real estate now owned by the City of South <br />Bend, are not necessary to the public use and are not set <br />aside by state and city laws for public purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works now wishes to take <br />the necessary action to make it possible for the Board, in <br />the future to sell said parcels of real estate pursuant to <br />State Statutes. <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />
