209 <br />REGULAR MEETING MAY 2, 1983 <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - RUBBISH AND GARBAGE <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised the Board that a Rubbish and Garbage <br />license application was received from Willie Washington, <br />704 E. Indiana, South Bend, Indiana. It was noted that an <br />inspection of the truck to be used has been conducted by <br />the Solid Waste Bureau and it was found to be in compliance. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill <br />and carried, the above license application was approved and <br />referred to the Deputy Controller's Office for issuance. <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATIONS -`SECONDHAND DEALERS <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that license applications were received <br />from the following: <br />William Moel <br />Reflections In Time <br />1609 Miami Street, S.B. <br />Frances Casey Billing <br />Casey's Furniture Mart <br />520 Western Avenue, S.B. <br />Frances E. Harris <br />Thieves Market <br />2309 E. Edison, S.B. <br />He further advised that favorable reports had been received <br />from the Police Department, Fire Department, Bureau of Traffic <br />and Lighting, and the Department of Code Enforcement. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the above license applications were approved and <br />referred .to the Deputy Controller's Office for issuance. <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATIONS - OPEN AIR STAND <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that license applications were <br />received from the following: <br />Roger W. Dexter <br />Tippecanoe Foods, Inc. <br />4425 South Michigan, S.B. <br />Morris W. McIntosh c/o <br />Church of God of Prophecy <br />Flowerland <br />Ironwood and Edison <br />He further advised that favorable recommendations were <br />received from the Police Department, Department of Code <br />Enforcement and the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting. Upon <br />a motion made by Mr. Hill, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and <br />carried, the above applications were approved and referred <br />to the Deputy Controller's Office for issuance. <br />APPROVE RELEASE OF CONTRACTOR'S BOND <br />Mr. Ray S. Andrysiak, P.E., recommended the Board release <br />the Contractor's Bond for Michiana <br />Remodeling, <br />Inc., effective <br />May 2, 1983. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded <br />by Mr. Hill and carried, the above bond <br />was released as recommended. <br />APPROVE RELEASE OF EXCAVATION BOND <br />Mr. Ray S. Andrysiak, P.E., recommended <br />the Board release <br />the Excavation Bond for LaFree Excavating, Inc. effective <br />May 2, 1983. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded <br />by Mr. Hill and carried, the above bond <br />was released as <br />recommended. <br />
