<br />REQUEST OF ST. STEPHEN'S PARISH SPANISH-SPEAKING
<br />USHERS CLUB TO CLOSE ALLEY REFERRED
<br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Jose G. Garza, President of
<br />the St. Stephen's Parish Spanish -Speaking Ushers Club
<br />requested permission to close the alley at the entrance
<br />and exit ends of Huron Street; also the middle alley coming
<br />from the. main alley facing toward Walnut Street and the
<br />entrance and exit side of 404 South Walnut Street. The
<br />Club is sponsoring their annual Mother's Day celebration
<br />activity at Pulaski Park on May 8th from 1:00 p.m. to
<br />7:00 p.m. and therefore, the above request is being made.
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr.
<br />Hill and.carried, the above request was referred to the
<br />Bureau of'Traffic and Lighting and the Police Traffic
<br />Division for review and recommendation.
<br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill
<br />and carried, the following two (2) traffic control devices
<br />as recommended by Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau
<br />of Traffic and Lighting, were approved:
<br />REVISE TO STOP SIGN - On Green at Bendix.
<br />REVISE TO STOP SIGN - On Bulla at Elmer.
<br />APPROVE CONTRACTOR'S BONDS
<br />Mr. Ray S. Andrysiak, P.E., recommended the approval of a
<br />Contractor's Bond for Group II, Inc., 1035 E. McKinley,
<br />Mishawaka, Indiana, effective retroactive to April 18, 1983
<br />and Mr. Melvin B. Humphrey recommended the approval of a
<br />Contractor's Bond for Stephen King, 741 South Sheridan,
<br />South Bend, Indiana, effective April 25, 1983. Upon a motion
<br />made by Mr. Leszczynski,.seconded by Mr. Hill and carried,.
<br />the above bonds were approved as recommended.
<br />APPROVE REQUEST FOR MATTHYS LITTLE LEAGUE PARADE - MAY 21. 1983
<br />Mr. Leszczynski advised the Board that Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski,
<br />Manager, Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, has reviewed the
<br />request of Mr. Robert Gorbacz, President, Matthys Little
<br />League to conduct an opening day parade beginning at 9:30 a.m.
<br />on Saturday, May 21, 1983. Mr. Wadzinski has recommended
<br />that the time of the parade be changed to 1:00 p.m. rather
<br />than 9:30 a.m. The route as submitted is recommended for
<br />approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded
<br />by Mr. Hill and carried, the above request, based on the
<br />recommended time change, was approved.
<br />FILING OF CERTIFICATE OF 'INSURANCE
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill
<br />and carried, the Certificate of Insurance for Arco Engineering
<br />Construction Corporation, 705 Beiger Street, P.O. Box 906,
<br />Mishawaka, Indiana, was filed.
<br />FILING OF 'STREET LIGHT 'OUTAGE REPORT
<br />The report submitted to the Board indicated a total of twenty-
<br />nine (29) outages for the period April 8, 1983 to April 19,
<br />1983. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr.
<br />Hill and carried, the above report was filed.
<br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS
<br />A list containing thirty-four (34) lots ordered cleaned by
<br />the Director of the Neighborhood Code Enforcement Department
<br />was submitted. It was noted that property owners had been
<br />advised to clean-up the lots and had failed to do so. Upon
<br />a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and
<br />carried, the environemntal list was filed.
