REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 18, 1983 <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that four (4) traffic control devices <br />as recommended .by Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau <br />of Traffic and Lighting, were being presented to the Board <br />for approval. Mr. Leszczynski advised that these are seasonal <br />sign changes. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded <br />by Mr.. Hill and carried, the following traffic: -control devices <br />were approved: <br />REMOVE 15 MINUTE PARKING - 1111 South Michigan Street. <br />REVISE TO NO PARKING - 801 South Michigan Street.. <br />REMOVE NO PARKING - South side of 300 LaMonte Terrace <br />REVISE TO 2 HOUR PARKING 6AM - 6PM - East side of <br />500 North Michigan, North 1/2 block. <br />APPROVE REQUEST FOR BLOCK PARTY - APRIL 30, 1983 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised the Board -that Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, <br />Manager, Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, has reviewed the request <br />of Mr. Andrew W. Brown, Assistant Campaign Managerfor Eugenia. <br />Braboy to conduct a block party on Studebaker Street from LaPorte <br />to Fassnacht from 12:.00 noon to 6:00 p.m, on Saturday, April 30, <br />1983. Approval for the block -party was given subject to the <br />maintenance of a.twelve foot (12') clear and unobstructed lane <br />for emergency purposes. The petitioner is responsible for the <br />closing and opening of the street with barricades to be provided <br />by the Bureau of Traffic and Lighitng. Upon a motion made by <br />Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill aid carried, the above <br />request to conduct a block party was approved. <br />APPROVE REQUEST FOR BLOCK PARTY - APRIL 23, 1983 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised the Board that Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, <br />Manager, Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, has reviewed the <br />request of Mr. James Page to conduct a block party/political <br />rally on Linden Avenue (2200) block from Huey to Grant Streets <br />from 2:00 p.m, to 6:00 p.m, on Saturday, April 23, 1983. Based <br />on the recommendations of Mr. Wadzinski, the location of the <br />block party has been changed to O'Brien Street from Linden. <br />North to the dead end. Approval for the block party was <br />given subject to a twelve foot (12') clear and unobstructed <br />lane for emergency purposes. The petitioner is responsible <br />for the closing and opening of the street with barricades to. <br />be provided by the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the above request to conduct a block party was approved. <br />APPROVE REQUEST FOR CHET WAGGONER LITTLE LEAGUE PARADE - MAY 21, 1983 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised the Board that Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, <br />Manager, Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, has reviewed the <br />request of Mr. Daniel C. Dutrieux, Advisor to the Board of <br />Director of C.W.L.L., to conduct an opening day parade beginning <br />at 8:00 a.m, on Saturday, May 21, 1983. Mr. Wadzinski has <br />recommended that the route originally submitted be changed to <br />the following: <br />Begin in the 100 block of West Park Street (just <br />south of the Leeper Park duck pond) west to <br />Lafayette Street, south on Lafayette to Navarre <br />Street, west on Navarre to Portage, north on <br />Portage to Cleveland, east on Cleveland to <br />Riverside Drive, south on Riverside to the <br />park entrance. <br />Additionally, it is requested that the parade begin promptly <br />at 8:00 a.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded <br />by Mr. Hill and carried, the above request was approved. <br />1 <br />
