17 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />OCTOBER 25, 1982 <br />Korte Brothers, Inc. <br />335 Murray Street <br />Bid was signed by Beauford Mullins, <br />non -collusion affidavit was in <br />order, and a 10% bid bond was <br />submitted. <br />One New 1982 Trojan Model 2000 Front End Loader <br />less trade on IHC Track -type Loader $65,636.00 <br />Payline South, Inc. Bid was signed by Jim L. Baker, <br />1945 Bernice Road non -collusion affidavit was in <br />Lansing, Ill. 60438 order, and a 107o bid bond was <br />submitted. <br />One Ford A-66 less trade on IHC Track -type Loader $56,548.00 <br />Mrs. Pfotenhauer advised that the 10% bid bond submitted by <br />Payline South, Inc. was drawn on an out-of-state surety. She <br />stated that an out-of-state bidder must submit a certified <br />check or a bid bond drawn on an Indiana surety according to <br />state statutes. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded <br />by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, a 48-hour period was given to <br />allow Payline to submit the proper bid security if it wished <br />the city to consider its bid. <br />Willett Equipment Co. <br />Bid was signed by <br />Michael 0. <br />2626 East <br />139th Street <br />Maloney, non -collusion affidavit <br />Burnham, <br />Ill. 60633 <br />was in order, and <br />a certified <br />check in the amount of $7,310.00 <br />.was submitted. <br />One New <br />Fiatallis Model <br />FR15 Rubber Tire <br />Loader <br />less trade on IHC Track -type Loader <br />$68,099.00 <br />Option: <br />New Demonstrator FR15 with trade <br />63,210.00 <br />Indiana Equipment Co., Inc. Bid was signed by Stanley C. <br />414 West Coliseum Blvd. Salomon, non -collusion affidavit <br />Fort Wayne, Ind. 46801 was in order, and a 10% bid bond <br />was submitted. <br />One New International Model 530 Four -Wheel <br />Drive Rubber Tire Payloader less trade <br />on IHC Track -type Loader 8167,414.00 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan <br />and carried, the above bids were referred to the Division of <br />Transportation for review and recommendation. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - PROFESSIONAL TESTING SERVICES - <br />POLICE RECRUIT TEST <br />This was the date set for receiving sealed bids for the professional <br />testing services to be conducted in connection with the police <br />recruit test. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice <br />in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were <br />found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and <br />publicly read: <br />Norrell Services, Inc. Bid was signed by Judith Overmyer, <br />105 E. Jefferson non -collusion affidavit was in <br />South Bend, Ind. 46601 order, and a certified check in <br />the amount of $50.00 was submitted. <br />Administering TABE test to police recruits $250.00 per <br />If Norrell rovides testing site, test group <br />additional p$40 to $75 will be charged <br />depending on room size required. <br />
