473 <br />REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 31, 1984 <br />APPROVE CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 - CLEANING AND PAINTING OF <br />WESTERN/WALNUT VIADUCT PROJECT <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that J. L. Manta, Inc. 7757 South Chicago <br />Avenue, Chicago, Illinois, submitted Change,Order No. 1 <br />indicating that the contract amount be increased by $9,500.00 as a <br />result of additional painting of the viaduct face being required <br />to match the newly painted underside of the viaduct, thus <br />increasing the new contract sum including this Change Order to <br />$33,090.00. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by <br />Mr. Hill and carried, Change Order No. l as submitted was <br />approved. <br />APPROVE CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 (FINAL) AND PROJECT COMPLETION <br />AFFIDAVIT - EAST BANK DEVELOPMENT PHASE II <br />Mr.-Leszczynski advised that Geyer Construction and Development <br />Company, 67475 Kenilworth Road, Lakeville, Indiana, has submitted <br />Change Order No. 1 (Final) indicating that the contract amount be <br />increased by $2,264.00 for a new contract sum including this <br />Change Order in the amount of $82,262.80. Change Order No. 1 <br />(final) indicates a change in twenty (20) items in regard to this <br />project. Additionally submitted was the Project Completion <br />Affidavit indicating this new final cost. Upon a motion made by <br />Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, Change Order <br />No. 1 (Final) and the Project Completion Affidavit were approved <br />subject to the filing of the appropriate three-year Maintenance <br />Bond. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS - SALE OF <br />ABANDONED VEHICLES <br />Ms. Katherine Barnard, Director, Department of Code Enforcement, <br />requested permission to advertise for the sale of approximately <br />fourteen (14) abandoned vehicles, two (2) of which are valued at <br />over $100.00 and all of which are being stored at Steve and Gene's <br />Auto and Truck Salvage and Repair, 3109 South Gertrude Street, <br />South Bend, Indiana. It was noted that all vehicles have been <br />stored more than thirty (30) days, identification checks had been <br />run for auto theft and the owners and lienholders notified. Upon <br />a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the above request was approved and a date of January 14, <br />1985 was established for the receiving and opening of sealed bids. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - PLAZA <br />MAINTENANCE FACILITY REMODELING ("OLD" NEWMAN'S BUILDING) <br />In a letter <br />Division of <br />the receipt <br />motion made <br />the request <br />to the Board, Mr. Joseph J. Pluta, P.E. Director, <br />Engineering, requested that the Board advertise for <br />of bids for the above referred to project.
