474 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />DECEMBER 31, 1984 <br />Mr. Leszczynski further advised that favorable recommendations <br />have been received from the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />Department of Code Enforcement, Police Department and Fire <br />Department on the above application. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above license <br />application was approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's <br />office for issuance of a permit. <br />APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the following four (4) handicapped parking permit <br />applications were approved and referred to the Deputy Controllerfs <br />office for issuance of permits: <br />Josephine Simms, 4809 W. Ford,,Apt. 3, S.B. <br />John Pecsi, 1709 S. Douglas, S.B. <br />George M. Verhaeghe, 3223 Rue Voltaire, Apt. 913, S.B. <br />Jean Ann Kamp, 1316 Cambridge, S.B. <br />FILING OF NEW TAXICAB RATES - YELLOW CAB LEASING COMPANY, INC. <br />Mr. Otto E. Keres, Superintendent, Yellow Cab Leasing Company, <br />Inc., 710 North Niles Avenue, P.O. Box 657, South Bend, Indiana, <br />advised the Board of Yellow Cab's intention to increase taxicab <br />rates effective January 15, 1985. As required by the South Bend <br />Municipal Code regarding taxicab licensing, Mr. Keres has arranged <br />for Notices of this increase to appear in two (2) local newspapers <br />and is notifying the Board of the rate increase. The new rates <br />are as follows: <br />$1.50 for the first 1/5th mile or fraction thereof. <br />$ .20 for each additional 1/5th mile. <br />$12.00 per hour for one (1) or more passengers. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the above new rates to become effective January 15, 1984, <br />were accepted for filing as submitted. <br />FILING OF CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the Certificate of Insurance for E-Rect-O. Inc., 12807 <br />McKinley Highway, P.O. Box 846, Mishawaka, Indiana, was accepted <br />for filing as submitted. <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORTS <br />Two reports from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating a <br />total of forty-nine (49) properties cleaned from December 17, 1984 <br />to December 28, 1984 were submitted. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the reports as <br />submitted were filed. <br />FILING OF STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT - NOVEMBER <br />The report submitted to the Board indicated a total of fifty-seven <br />(57) street light outages reported during the month of November. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the report as submitted was filed. <br />FILING OF HUMANE SOCIETY REPORT - NOVEMBER <br />The Humane Society report for the month of November indicated the <br />following matters handled for the City of South Bend: <br />C1 <br />1 <br />
