401. REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 15. 1984 APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS - YOUTH SERVICE BUREAU AIR CONDITIONING PROJECT In a letter to the Board', Mr. Joseph J. Pluta, P.E., Director, Division of Engineering, requested that the Board advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above request was approved. APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS - TWO (2) SLURRY SEAL TRUCK BODIES AND ONE (1) ASPHALT ROLLER In a letter to the Board, Mr. John E. Leszczynski, Director, Public Works, requested that the Board advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to equipment. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above request was approved. APPROVE REQUEST TO HAVE PARKING SPACE IN FRONT OF 1110 EAST CHALFANT STREET DESIGNATED AS A HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACE Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager, Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and Captain Edward Friend of the Police Department have reviewed this request submitted to the Board on October 1, 1984, and recommended approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above recommendation was accepted and the request approved. APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the following four (4) traffic control devices were approved: 1. NEW INSTALLATION - NO PARKING, NO STOPPING, STANDING TOW ZONE - West side of Michigan from Navarre to Park Lane. (1. in conjunction with intersection improvements, 2. clarification of records). 2. 14EW INSTALLATION - NO PARKING, STOPPING, STANDING TOW ZONE - East side of Michigan from Bartlett South, to first alley. (1. in conjunction with with intersection improvements, 2. clarification of records). 3. NEW INSTALLATION - NO PARKING, TOW ZONE - North side of 100 E. Bartlett, from Michigan, easterly approx. 170'. (1. in conjunction with intersection improvements, 2. clarification of records). 4. NEW INSTALLATION - NO PARKING, TOW ZONE - Both sides - 100 W. conjunction with intersection clarification of records). APPROVE CONTRACTOR'S BOND STOPPING, STANDING Bartlett. (1. in improvements, 2. Mr. Melvin Humphrey, Engineering Department, recommended that the Contractor's Bond for Leslie S. Farkas be approved retro- active to October 9, 1984. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the above Contractor's Bond was approved. FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORT A report from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating a total of eighty-eight (88) properties cleaned from October 8, 1984 to October 12, 1984, was submitted. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the report as submitted was filed.
