Guy - Vehicle No. 12 $101.00 TOTAL $486.00 $101.00 GRAND TOTAL: $587.00 APPROVE FIRST AMENDMENT TO JOINT DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA AND ONE MICHIANA SQUARE ASSOCIATES Mr. Hill advised that this First Amendment to the Joint Development Agreement is necessary to conform to the amendment in terms of the actual UDAG Agreement as amended by HUD on August 24, 1984 and September 7, 1984. He stated that most of the amendments are technical but the substantive change is that the $1.5 million HUD money will be used for Phase I only with Phase II to be con- structed at a later date in accord with the schedule indicated in the Agreements. Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above referred to First Amendment to the Joint Development Agreement was approved and executed. APPROVE FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE GRANT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA AND THE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION OF SOUTH BEND, MISHAWAKA AND ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, INDIANA Mr. Hill advised that the First Amendment to the Grant Agreement incorporates essentially identical terms of the First Amendment to the Joint Development Agreement. The City will provide $1.5 million to the Business Development Corporation for the purpose of entering into a loan agreement with One Michiana Square. This First Amendment sets out loan terms and indicates an accelerated pre -payment should the schedule not be met. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the above First Amendment to the Grant Agreement was approved and executed. APPROVE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CONTRACTS AND ADDENDUM The following Community Development contracts and addendum were presented to the Board for approval: HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION HUMAN RIGHTS FAIR HOUSING SPECIALIST ACTIVITY Under this contract the Fair Housing the following duties: Specialists will undertake 1. Provides educational services and advice to members of private lending and housing industries. 2. Assists in the development and administration of specific affirmative marketing practices within the private housing industry.
