<br />APPROVE WAIVER OF RIGHTS AND EASEMENTS- ONE MICHIANA SQUARE ASSOCIATES
<br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. James W. Laskowski, Assistant
<br />Controller, The Holladay Corporation, 404 South Columbia, Suite
<br />230, South Bend, Indiana, on behalf of One Michiana Square
<br />Associates, is requesting a waiver of rights and easements retained
<br />by the City of South Bend on water, sewer, and drainage on streets
<br />and alleys vacated by the South Bend Redevelopment on Lot Numbered
<br />Seven (7) as shown on the recorded Plat of River Bend.Addition,
<br />recorded May 4, 1977, in the office of the Recorder of St. Joseph
<br />County, Indiana, in Plat Book "R", page 31 - Utility easement
<br />reserved in the vacation ordinance vacating the alley North and
<br />adjoining Lot Numbered 315 of the Original Plat of South Bend, as
<br />recorded in Miscellaneous Record 223, pages 230-237. Provided
<br />with this request was a survey of One Michiana Square. Upon a
<br />motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Bill and carried,
<br />the above request was approved and the waiver of rights and
<br />easements granted.
<br />APPROVE PURCHASE AGREEMENT - SALE OF CITY -OWNED
<br />PROPERTY AT 520 1/2 NORTH CUSHING STREET
<br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that in accordance with the bid awarded on
<br />August 20, 1984, to Maria Rivera, 514 North Cushing Street, South
<br />Bend, Indiana, for the purchase of the City -owned lot at 520 1/2
<br />North Cushing Street,.South Bend, Indiana, in the amount of
<br />$100.00, aPurchase Agreement was being submitted at this time
<br />for Board approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded
<br />by Mr. Vance and carried, the Purchase Agreement was approved and
<br />the matter referred to the City Attorney's office for drafting of
<br />the appropriate Quit -Claim Deed.
<br />APPROVE TITLE SHEET - CITY CEMETERY STORAGE BUILDING
<br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Title Sheet for the above referred
<br />to project was being presented at this time for execution. Upon a
<br />motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried,
<br />the above referred to Title Sheet was approved and signed.
<br />REQUEST TO CONDUCT NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY ON
<br />AMHURST STREET - SEPTEMBER 29, 1984 - REFERRED
<br />In a letter to the Board, Ms. Anita Kuminecz, 822 Amhurst Avenue,
<br />South Bend, Indiana, requested permission to conduct a neighborhood
<br />block party on Amhurst Street between Miami Street and Chippewa
<br />Avenue on September 29, 1984 from 12:00 p.m. to B:OO.p.m. Upon a
<br />motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried,
<br />the above request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting
<br />and the Police Department Traffic Division for review and recommenda-
<br />tion.
<br />REQUEST OF GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF MICHIANA, INC. TO CONDUCT
<br />NORTHEAST FALL FESTIVAL. - SEPTEMBER 23, 1984 REFERRED
<br />In a letter to the Board Ms. Shirley Hagye of Goodwill Industries
<br />of Michiana, Inc., P.O. Box 3128, South Bend, Indiana, advised that
<br />the Shamrock Business Association is requesting permission to conduct
<br />a Northeast Fall Festival on September 23, 1984. She stated that.
<br />besides the Goodwill/Aldi's Lot at 921 North Eddy Street, the Shilts-
<br />Graves parking lot and the two lots belonging to Approved Fire and
<br />Safety will also be utilized. She stated that plans include thirty
<br />(30) booths, two (2) of which will be food booths, with the
<br />remaining twenty-eight (28) selling non-food items, a pop wagon,
<br />beer wagon and Del's Bar-B-Que. She stated that Aldi's store will
<br />be closed as usual but the Goodwill Store will be open from 12:00
<br />to 6:00 p.m. Councilwoman Ann Puzzello addressed the Board and
<br />stated that she was present to voice her support of the Shamrock
