318 REGULAR MEETING AUGUST '6, 1984 AMENDMENT A Key Num er of Property: 18-8112-4207 Amount of accrued taxes and penalties on this real estate is $1,034.13 for Fall 1983, payable 1984, $1,034.13 for Spring 1984, payable 1985 AMENDMENT B Key Num er of Property: 18-8112-4215.03 Amount of accrued taxes and penalties on this real estate is $376.51 for Fall 1983/1984 $376.51 for Spring 1984/1985 AMENDMENT C Key NumEer of Property: 18-8112-4215.07 Amount of accrued taxes and penalties on this real estate is $182.38 for Fall 1983/1984 $182.38 for Spring 1983/1984 Mr. Leszczynski further advised that these Amendments A, B & C amend the original Petition to the State Board of Tax Commissioners to Release Accrued Taxes approved and executed by the Board of Public Works on June 25, 1984. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above Amendments were approved and executed. APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS - EAST BANK DEVELOPMENT PHASE II PROJECT AND CLEANING AND PAINTING OF THE WESTERN/WALNUT VIADUCT PROJECT Mr. Joseph J. Pluta, P.E., Director, Division of Engineering, requested that the Board advertise for the receipt of bids for the following two (2) projects: 1. EAST BANK DEVELOPMENT PHASE II PROJECT 2. CLEANING AND PAINTING OF THE WESTERN/WALNUT VIADUCT PROJECT Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above request was approved. APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS - SALE OF ABANDONED VEHICLES Ms. Katherine Barnard, Director of the Department of Code Enforce- ment, requested permission to advertise for the sale of approximately twenty (20) abandoned vehicles, five (5) of which are valued at over One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) and all of which.are being stored at South Bend Auto Parts, 1802 South Main Street, South Bend, Indiana. It was noted that all vehicles have been stored more than the thirty (30) days, identification checks had been run for auto theft, and the owners and lienholders notified. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the request was approved, and a date of August 20, 1984, was established for the receiving of sealed bids. REQUEST TO PURCHASE CITY -OWNED PROPERTY AT 1002 WEST LA SALLE STREET REFERRED In a letter to the Board, Mr. Robert M. Stevens, 51825 Chestnut Road, Granger, Indiana, indicated that as the owner of 938 West LaSalle Street, he is interested in purchasing a lot adjacent to that property at 1002 West LaSalle Street. He further indicated that 938 West LaSalle Street is soon to be his home and he would like the property adjacent for a garden and off-street parking. Uponmotion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and .a carried, the above request was referred to the necessary City departments and bureaus for a determination as to whether or not the City retain the lot for any reason.
