Holston, Director, Bureau of Housing, submitted to <br />the Board for approval one (1) Agreement for Rehabilitation of <br />Real Property between the Board of Public Works and Homeowner <br />and Agreement for the Repair of Real Property between the Board <br />of Public Works and Contractor as follows: <br />HOMEOWNER: Annabelle Brown <br />ADDRESS: 1202 South Bend Avenue <br />.CONTRACTOR: Bockaj Construction Company <br />CONTRACT AMOUNT: $580.00 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the above Agreement was approved and executed. <br />APPROVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, STATE <br />OF INDIANA AND MEMORIAL HOSPITAL FOR THE INSTALLATION OF <br />AN ACTUATED, INTERCONNECTED TRAFFIC SIGNAL SYSTEM - U.S. <br />33 (MICHIGAN STREET) AND BARTLETT STREET <br />Mr. Leszczynski presented to the Board for approval an Agreement <br />between the City of South Bend, the State of Indiana, through <br />the Indiana Department of Highways and Memorial Hospital of <br />South Bend, for the installation of an actuated, interconnected <br />Traffic Signal System on U.S. 33 (Michigan Street) and Bartlett <br />Street, with the total cost of installation being paid by <br />Memorial Hospital. The Agreement indicates that an actuated <br />traffic signal system with left turn indications shall be <br />installed at the intersection of U.S. 33 (Michigan Street) <br />and Bartlett Street and to be interconnected with the existing <br />signal at Navarre Street and the existing system to the south. <br />Mr. Leszczynski further advised that this traffic signal system <br />was a stipulation of the previously approved request of Memorial <br />Hospital to vacate Main Street for hospital expansion. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the above Agreement was approved and executed. <br />APPROVE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING - SOUTH BEND <br />HOUSING AUTHORITY/CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Board has received for approval <br />a Memorandum of Understanding which indicates. that the South. <br />Bend Housing Authority as authorized by South Bend Housing <br />Authority Resolution No. 1089 passed on June 27, 1984, agrees <br />to cooperate and assist the City of South Bend in its Rental <br />Rehabilitation Program as outlined in the Memorandum. It was <br />noted that this Memorandum provides assistance in the prepara- <br />tion of the City of South Bend's application for the "Rental <br />Rehabilitation Program" that involves the use of Section 8 <br />Existing Housing Funds. It was further noted that the staff <br />of the Housing Authority of the City of South Bend, per Resolu- <br />tion No. 1089 was authorized to proceed with the preparation <br />of.such application and any other supporting documents required <br />for the submittal of a proposal for the City to participate in <br />the Rental Rehabilitation Program and for The South Bend Housing <br />Authority to receive additional Section 8 Existing Certificates <br />as a part of this program. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above Memorandum of <br />Understanding was approved and executed. <br />
