Reserves <br />Citizens) <br />Upon a motion made by.Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance <br />and carried, the above recommendation was accepted and the <br />applications approved. <br />REQUEST TO CLOSE 1300 BLOCK OF EAST ALTGELD STREET <br />FOR A BLOCK PARTY (JULY 4, 1984) REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Ms. Janice McCurdie, 1307 East <br />Altgeld Street, South Bend, Indiana, requested on behalf <br />of the neighbors of the 1300 block of East Altgeld Street, <br />that the street be blocked off on July 4, 1984 from 4:00 p.m. <br />until midnight for the purpose of a neighborhood block party <br />and cookout. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded <br />by Mr. Vance and carried, the above request was referred to <br />the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department <br />Traffic Division for review and recommendation. <br />REQUEST TO PURCHASE CITY -OWNED PROPERTY AT 615 <br />NORTH FRANCES STREET REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. V. LaMar Wilson, Executive <br />Director, Neighborhood Housing Services, 803 North Notre <br />Dame Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, indicated that NHS is <br />interested in purchasing the city -owned property at 615 <br />North Frances Street. This particular lot is adjacent to <br />
