43 REGULAR MEETING JUNE 11, 1984 APPROVE ETHNIC FESTIVAL BOOTH APPLICATIONS Mr. Leszczynski advised that Ms. Mikki Dobski, Director, Community Affairs, has submitted the following Ethnic Festival Booth applica- tions and recommends approval: CRAFT BOOTHS: 3 Marcia Darrow Brown Sharad Rao DISPLAY: 3 Sandra L. Parr (Pet Refuge, Inc.) Dale Brocker (1st United Method) Sharon Esmont (Friends of S.B. Public Library) FOOD: 1 Robert Schmidt (Mill St., Inc.) Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above recommendation was accepted and the applications approved. APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS AND SIGNING OF TITLE SHEET - ETHANOL PLANT CONCRETE SIDEWALK FOR THE ADMINISTRATION BUILDING PROJECT In a letter to the Board, Mr. Neil A.. Shanahan, Manager, Bureau of Public Construction, requested that the Board advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above request was approved. Additionally, Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Title Sheet for the above referred to project was being presented at this time for execution. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the Title Sheet was approved and signed. REQUEST TO CONDUCT BLOCK PARTY - 400 BLOCK NORTH COQUILLARD (JUNE 30, 1984) REFERRED In a letter to the Board, Ms. Tessa McGann, 401 North Coquillard Drive, South Bend, Indiana, indicated that the neighbors of the 400 block of North Coquillard Street would like permission to close off the street on Saturday, June 30, 1984 from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m, for a block party. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division for review and recommendation. REQUEST TO CONDUCT BLOCK PARTY - 800 & 900 BLOCKS OF NORTH ADAMS (JULY 15, 1984) REFERRED In a letter to the Board, Mik Perry, 906 North Adams Street, South Bend, Indiana, advised that the residents of the 800 and 900 blocks of North Adams Street respectfully petition for the closure of the 800 & 900 blocks of North Adams Street from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m, on Sunday, July 15, 1984. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the.Police Department Traffic Division for review and recommendation.
