Opportunities Industrialization Center) <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS - <br />SALE OF ABANDONED VEHICLES <br />Ms.'Katherine Barnard, Director of the Department of Code Enforce- <br />ment,.requested permission to advertise for the sale of approximately <br />eighteen (18) abandoned vehicles, six (6) of which are valued at over <br />One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) and all of which are being stored at <br />South Bend Auto Parts, 1802 South Main Street, South Bend, Indiana. <br />It was noted that all vehicles have been stored more than the <br />thirty .(30) days, indentification checks had been run for auto <br />theft and the owners and lienhoiders notified. Upon a motion made <br />by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the request <br />was approved and a date of May 21, 1984 was established for the <br />receiving of sealed bids. <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF AMERICAN LEGION UNIT #357 TO <br />SELL POPPIES (MAY 18 & 19, 1984) <br />In a letter to the Board, Mrs. Dixielee Clark, Chaplain, Unit 303 <br />of the American Legion Auxiliary, 725 34th Street, South Bend, <br />Indiana, requested permission to sell veteran -made poppies on the <br />public sidewalks on Friday and Saturday, May 18 & 19, 1984. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the above request was approved. <br />1 <br />1 <br />
