1172 REGULAR MEETING APRIL 16, 1984 RESOLUTION NO'. 7-1984 WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana, has compiled a current detailed inventory of all real property owned by the City of South Bend; and WHEREAS, the Board of Publid Works has reviewed said inventory of real property and it finds that certain of the parcels of real estate now owned by the City of South Bend are not necessary to the public use and are not set aside by State and City laws for public purposes; and WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works now wishes to take the necessary action to make it possible for the Board, in the future, to sell said parcels of real estate pursuant to State Statutes. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: That the parcels of real estate owned by the City contained in the following list are not necessary to the public use and are not set aside by State or City laws for public purposes: ADDRESS: DEED N0. 1506 Orange Street 1035 1508 Orange Street 1034 1519 Liston Street 978 ADOPTED this 16th day of April, 1984. Parmerlee, Clerk APPROVE COMMUNITY GARDEN PROGRAM FOR 1984 Mr. Leszczynski advised that requests have been received by the Board for permission to garden on City -owned lots located through- out the City. He stated that the Community Garden Program has been in effect for the past ten (10) years and interested citizens are requested to sign a release form which sets forth certain rules and regulations pertaining to the use of the property. Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the Community Garden Program for 1984 was approved. ETHNIC FESTIVAL BOOTH APPLICATIONS REFERRED Mr. Leszczynski advised that Ms. Mikki Dobski, Director of Community Affairs, and Ms. Sue Cunningham, City Volunteer Coordinator, have. submitted to the Board for approval twenty-three (23) craft booth applications, fifteen (15) food booth applications and three (3) display booth applications. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the above applications were referred to the City Controller's office for review and recommendation. APPROVE REQUEST OF COUNCIL FOR THE RETARDED TO CLOSE WALL STREET FOR "FUN DAY" (MAY 18, 1984) Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski has reviewed the above request submitted to the Board+on April 9, 1984 and recommends approval. Mr. Wadzinski advised that Wall Street will be barricaded at Greenlawn and at Park Drive west of Ironwood Drive. Further, the 1 1
