JOHNS WAY & 1300 BLOCK WOODBINE WAY REFERRED
Mr. Leszczynski presented to the Board a Petition which Councilwoman
Eugenia Braboy received from the residents of the 4000 block of St.
Johns Way and the 1300 block of Woodbine Way. The Petitioner
indicates that the residents are very unhappy with the new street
lights on the 4000 block of St. Johns Way and the 1300 block of
Woodbine Way. It stated that the residents realize the energy
saving feature of the new lighting but the old lights were
brighter and the area they illuminated was much greater. Because
of the school and park in the area, it was felt that the previous
lighting was better and necessary for security and safety. It
further stated that there is no other street light on the entire
block of St. Johns Way and the residents rely on this one light
for the entire school and residential area. The Petition respect-
fully requests the change to the previous lighting Upon a motion
made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the
Petition is to be taken under advisement by the City Engineer
who will respond to the request.
APPROVE REQUEST OF AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY TO CONDUCT
ANNUAL DAFFODIL DAY SALES (MARCH 29 & 30, 1984)
Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. Ralph J. Mr-. Wadzinski
recommends that permission be denied to sell daffodils at Ironwood
and Edison. It was noted that permission is granted for the public
sidewalks only. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by
Mr. Hill and carried, the recommendation as submitted was accepted
and the request approved.
