REGULAR MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 21, 1984 <br />Program Guidelines: <br />Prior to any work, the 42 units will be identified and <br />inspected by the City's Bureau of Housing.. Each step <br />of completed rehabilitation must be inspected by the <br />Department of Code Enforcement to ensure that code <br />standards have been properly met prior to release of <br />any payments. <br />Activity Service Area: <br />Funds for this activity shall be spent only on public <br />housing units located in the 400-500 blocks of S. Scott <br />Street and South Taylor Streets and the 600 block of <br />South Street and Monroe Circle. These addresses are <br />within the boundaries of the Near West Side Neighborhood <br />Strategy Area. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Hill, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, <br />the above Addendum was approved and executed. <br />APPROVE AMENDMENT NO. 6 TO CONSULTING AGREEMENT - <br />RAYMOND S. ANDRYSIAK (ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT) <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, Amendment No. 6 to the City's Consulting Agreement with <br />Raymond S. Andrysiak was approved. The Amendment provides for <br />payment to Mr. Andrysiak in the amount of $15.08 for each hour <br />during which he is requested to perform and actually does perform <br />such services for the City provided however that he shall not <br />perform more hours of consulting services in the fiscal year 1984 <br />that will result in billings in excess of Ten Thousand Dollars <br />($10,000.00). Amendment No. 6 provides for a contract extension <br />for the period January 1, 1984 to December 31, 1984. <br />APPROVE CHANGE ORDER NO. 7 - ETHANOL PLANT SITE DEMUCKING <br />(WOODRUFF AND SONS, INC.) <br />Mr. Leszczynski presented to the Board, Change Order No. 7 for the <br />ethanol plant site demucking. He stated that there are two (2) <br />items, one for additional excavation for foundations and one.for <br />overtime compensation in this Change Order increasing the contract <br />sum by $87,852.50 for a new contract sum including this Change <br />Order in the amount of $1,765,741.87. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the above Change <br />Order was approved. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS - <br />TWO (2) SINGLE AXLE DUMP TRUCKS (DEPARTMENT OF CODE ENFORCEMENT) <br />In a memorandum to the Board, Ms. Katherine Barnard, Director of <br />the Department of Code Enforcement, requested permission to <br />advertise for the receipt of bids for two (2) single axle dump <br />trucks for use by the Department of Code Enforcement Clean -Up <br />Crew. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. <br />Hill and carried, the above request was approved. <br />REQUEST OF JUSTICE &PEACE CENTER TO CONDUCT <br />"CROP HUNGER WALK" - APRIL 15, 1984 REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Ms. Rita M. Kopczynski of the Justice <br />and Peace Center CROP Walk Arrangements Committee, 136 South.Chapin <br />Street, South Bend, and Reverend Timothy Murtaugh, Southside Christian <br />Church 1984 CROP Walk Coordinator, requested permission to hold a <br />6.2 mile CROP Walk on Sunday, April 15, 1984 beginning at 2:OO p.m. <br />Walkers will use the sidewalks and adhere to stop lights and stop <br />signs.
