<br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS - PAINT STRIPER
<br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager, Bureau
<br />of Traffic and Lighting, requested permission.to advertise for
<br />the receipt of bids for one (1) hot/cold paint striper, self
<br />propelled. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr.
<br />Leszczynski and carried, the above request was approved.
<br />APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski
<br />and carried, the following nineteen (19) handicapped parking
<br />permit applications were approved and referred to the Deputy
<br />Controller's office for issuance of permits:

<br />APPROVE EXCAVATION BOND
<br />Mr. Melvin B. Humphrey, Engineering Department, recommended that
<br />the Excavation Bond for Alfred C. Shambery be approved retroactive
<br />to February 7, 1984. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded
<br />by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the above Excavation Bond was
<br />approved.
<br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORT
<br />A report from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating a
<br />total of fifty-six (56) properties cleaned from February 6, 1984
<br />to February 10, 1984 was submitted. Upon a motion made by Mr.
<br />Kernan, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the report
<br />was filed.
<br />FILING OF HUMANE SOCIETY MONTHLY REPORT - JANUARY
<br />The Humane Society report for the month of January indicated the
<br />following animals handled for the City of South Bend:
<br />Dogs handled: 323
<br />Cats handled: 70
<br />Other animals handled: 70
<br />It was noted that the Humane Society has revised their monthly
<br />report and now offer statistics in a number of new categories.
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski
<br />and carried, the above referred to report was filed.
