rwi REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 30. 1984 Mr. Leszczynski further advised that favorable recommendations have been received from the Department of Code Enforcement, Fire Department and Health Department for the above application. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the above license application was approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's office for issuance. APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - SECONDHAND DEALER Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following secondhand dealer license application has been received: Name: Nearly New Boutique By: Dina Tiller Address: 2113 1/2 Miami (behind SwankCleaners) For the purpose of selling: clothes, miscellaneous items Mr. Leszczynski further advised that favorable recommendations have been received from the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, Department of Code Enforcement and the Fire Department on the above application. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Per. Kernan and carried, the above license application was approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's office for issuance. APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - PUBLIC PARKING FACILITY Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the license application of Main and Washington Joint Venture, 211 West Washington Street, South Bend, Indiana was approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's office for issuance. It was noted that a favorable fire inspection of the facility was provided by the Fire Department and the required Proof of Insurance and the hours and rates to be charged were attached to the license application. APPROVE REQUEST TO CONDUCT 14TH ANNUAL ST. JOSEPH COUNTY MARCH OF DIMES WALKAMERICA - APRIL 28, 1984 Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager, Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, has reviewed the request of the St. Joseph County March of Dimes presented to the Board on July 25, 1983 and recommends approval utilizing the route presented with the request. It was noted that the route to be used is the same route that has been used for the last ten years for this event with the walk route beginning and ending at Potowatomi Park. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski,'seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the above request was approved. APPROVE REQUEST TO HOLD EVENTS IN DOWNTOWN SOUTH BEND IN 1984 Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager, Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, has reviewed the request of Ms. Mikki Dobski, City Events Coordinator, presented to the Board on January 16, 1984 to conduct the World's Largest Garage Sale on June 2, 1984, the Ethnic Festival on June 30, 1984 and July 1, 1984 and the Art Show to be held on July 12 & 13, 1984 and recommends that the dates be set aside for these events with various details still to be worked out with the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Depart- ment Traffic Division and subsequent approval by the Board. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the above request was approved based on the recommendations made by the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting.
