rwi <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />JANUARY 30. 1984 <br />Mr. Leszczynski further advised that favorable recommendations <br />have been received from the Department of Code Enforcement, <br />Fire Department and Health Department for the above application. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan <br />and carried, the above license application was approved and <br />referred to the Deputy Controller's office for issuance. <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - SECONDHAND DEALER <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following secondhand dealer <br />license application has been received: <br />Name: Nearly New Boutique <br />By: Dina Tiller <br />Address: 2113 1/2 Miami (behind SwankCleaners) <br />For the purpose of selling: clothes, miscellaneous items <br />Mr. Leszczynski further advised that favorable recommendations <br />have been received from the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />Department of Code Enforcement and the Fire Department on the <br />above application. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Per. Kernan and carried, the above license application <br />was approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's office for <br />issuance. <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - PUBLIC PARKING FACILITY <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan <br />and carried, the license application of Main and Washington <br />Joint Venture, 211 West Washington Street, South Bend, Indiana <br />was approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's office <br />for issuance. It was noted that a favorable fire inspection <br />of the facility was provided by the Fire Department and the <br />required Proof of Insurance and the hours and rates to be <br />charged were attached to the license application. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO CONDUCT 14TH ANNUAL ST. JOSEPH COUNTY <br />MARCH OF DIMES WALKAMERICA - APRIL 28, 1984 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager, <br />Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, has reviewed the request of <br />the St. Joseph County March of Dimes presented to the Board <br />on July 25, 1983 and recommends approval utilizing the route <br />presented with the request. It was noted that the route to <br />be used is the same route that has been used for the last <br />ten years for this event with the walk route beginning and <br />ending at Potowatomi Park. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski,'seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the above <br />request was approved. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO HOLD EVENTS IN DOWNTOWN SOUTH BEND IN 1984 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager, <br />Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, has reviewed the request of <br />Ms. Mikki Dobski, City Events Coordinator, presented to the <br />Board on January 16, 1984 to conduct the World's Largest <br />Garage Sale on June 2, 1984, the Ethnic Festival on June 30, <br />1984 and July 1, 1984 and the Art Show to be held on July <br />12 & 13, 1984 and recommends that the dates be set aside <br />for these events with various details still to be worked out <br />with the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Depart- <br />ment Traffic Division and subsequent approval by the Board. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan <br />and carried, the above request was approved based on the <br />recommendations made by the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting. <br />
