M <br />REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 12, 1983 <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - OPEN AIR STAND <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following license application <br />has been received <br />Name: River Park Lions Club <br />By: Leslie M, Peterson <br />Address: 2501 Mishawaka Avenue <br />Stand to be located at: 2501 Mishawaka Avenue <br />Dates: December 1, 1983 - December 25, 1983 <br />(12:00 noon 8:00 p.m.) <br />For the purpose of: selling Christmas trees <br />Mr. Leszczynski further.advised.that.favorable recommendations <br />have been received from the Police Department, Department of <br />Code Enforcement and the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for <br />the above application. It was noted that a letter fromthe <br />property owner granting permission to use his property was <br />provided with the application. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above <br />license application was approved and referred to the <br />Deputy Controller's office for issuance. <br />DENY LICENSE APPLICATION - SECONDHAND DEALER <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following license application <br />has been received: <br />Name: Copestone Refinishing & Antiques <br />By: Dale Kaser and Vicki McLaughlin <br />Address: 3103 Western Avenue <br />For the purpose of: selling antiques and used furniture <br />Mr. Leszczynski further advised that favorable recommendations <br />were received from the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the <br />Police Department regarding this application, but unfavorable <br />recommendations have been received from the Fire Department. <br />and the Department of Code Enforcement. It was noted that <br />the Fire Department and the Department of Code Enforcement <br />made inspections of the above location on two (2) separate <br />occasions and because of non-compliance with fire code <br />violations and environmental violations, it is the recom- <br />mendation of these departments that the license be denied. <br />Based on this information, upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above <br />Second Hand Dealer license application was denied. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill <br />and carried, the following eleven (11) traffic control <br />devices were approved: <br />REMOVE SNOW ROUTE - Landsdown Blvd. from Somersworth <br />to Stonehedge. (New collector street). <br />INSTALL SNOW ROUTE - Bridgeton, Watford to Somersworth. <br />(New Collector Street, York to Ironwood). <br />INSTALL SNOW ROUTE - Watford Lane, York to Bridgeton. <br />(New Collector Street, York to Ironwood). <br />INSTALL HANDICAPPED PARKING - 100 S. Michigan Street. <br />(Spaces 1 and 2 North of Jefferson on the East <br />side of 100 S. Michigan). <br />INSTALL TRAFFIC SIGNALS - Jefferson and Michigan. <br />(Michigan Street from the North, reopened at <br />intersection with Jefferson. Southbound signals <br />placed in operation on December 9, 1983, approx- <br />imately at 2:00 p.m.). <br />
