6-)r`Ct <br />,.-)0 L <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />OCTOBER 21, 1985 <br />APPROVE AGREEMENT FOR PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTSAND FILING OF <br />PERFORMANCE BOND - MAPLE LANE 4'S <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. Charles G. Clark, Maple Lane <br />Associates, -submitted to"lthe Board for filing a Performance and <br />Payment Bond,in the amount of $52,000.00 in connection with the <br />Maple Lane 4's, Phase IV, Section II Project. = Additionally <br />submitted to the Board for approval was an Agreement which states <br />that Maple Lane Associates is to complete roadway'(pavement and <br />curbs) of the section of Sugar Maple Lane that is within the <br />dedicated right-of-way of Phase IV, Section II, South Bend, <br />Indiana, including street lighting, storm sewers and landscaping <br />together with a three (3) year maintenance period. Approximate <br />costs are: <br />Street Lighting $ 4,000.00 <br />Storm Sewer 7,500.00 <br />Pavement & Curb 40,500.00 <br />Total $52,000.00 <br />The Agreement further indicates that work is to be completed by <br />August 14, 1986. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski,, seconded by Ms. Barnard <br />and carried, the Performance Bond was accepted for filing and the <br />Agreement for Public Improvements approved and executed. <br />FILING OF PETITION FOR -RESTRICTED RESIDENTIAL PARKING ZONE - 900 <br />BLOCK BELLEVUE AVENUE <br />Ms. Marion B. Balsley, 918 Bellevue Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, <br />submitted to the Board a Petition for the Establishment of a <br />Residential Parking Zone in the 900 block of Bellevue Avenue. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard <br />and carried, the Petition was referred to the Bureau of Traffic <br />and Lighting for review and recommendation. <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF HOLLADAY CORPORATION TO TEMPORARILY LOCATE <br />TRAILERS ON RIVER BEND PLAZA <br />Mr. Charles G. Clark, Project Manager, The'Holladay Corporation, <br />227 South Main Street, Suite 101, South Bend, Indiana, advised <br />that in conjunction with the One Michiana Square Project, use of <br />the River Bend Plaza for the temporary placement of storage <br />trailers is requested. Mr. Clark advised that a fence would be <br />erected surrounding the area occupied by the trailers. The use <br />of the Plaza is necessitated by the fact that the parking lot <br />where they are currently stored is being paved. It is <br />anticipated that the trailers will be located on the Plaza for. <br />approximately two (2) weeks. Mr. Leszczynski advised that the <br />Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Building Department have <br />reviewed this request and recommend approval_. Therefore, upon a <br />motion made by Ms. Barnard, seconded --by Mr.- Vance and carried, <br />the request was approved subject to The Holladay -Corporation' <br />securing the appropriate Occupancy Permit required to locate the <br />trailers on the public right-of-way <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski; seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the following two (2) traffic control devices were <br />approved: <br />1. NEW INSTALLATION, NO PARKING - 300 N. Lafayette - <br />West side approximately 150' North of Lafayette. <br />(Requested by Traffic Engineer). <br />2. NEW INSTALLATION, SPEED LIMIT 20 - 1600-1800 High Street. <br />(Studebaker School & Playground). <br />1 <br />1 <br />
