6-)r`Ct ,.-)0 L REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 21, 1985 APPROVE AGREEMENT FOR PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTSAND FILING OF PERFORMANCE BOND - MAPLE LANE 4'S Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. Charles G. Clark, Maple Lane Associates, -submitted to"lthe Board for filing a Performance and Payment Bond,in the amount of $52,000.00 in connection with the Maple Lane 4's, Phase IV, Section II Project. = Additionally submitted to the Board for approval was an Agreement which states that Maple Lane Associates is to complete roadway'(pavement and curbs) of the section of Sugar Maple Lane that is within the dedicated right-of-way of Phase IV, Section II, South Bend, Indiana, including street lighting, storm sewers and landscaping together with a three (3) year maintenance period. Approximate costs are: Street Lighting $ 4,000.00 Storm Sewer 7,500.00 Pavement & Curb 40,500.00 Total $52,000.00 The Agreement further indicates that work is to be completed by August 14, 1986. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski,, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the Performance Bond was accepted for filing and the Agreement for Public Improvements approved and executed. FILING OF PETITION FOR -RESTRICTED RESIDENTIAL PARKING ZONE - 900 BLOCK BELLEVUE AVENUE Ms. Marion B. Balsley, 918 Bellevue Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, submitted to the Board a Petition for the Establishment of a Residential Parking Zone in the 900 block of Bellevue Avenue. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the Petition was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for review and recommendation. APPROVE REQUEST OF HOLLADAY CORPORATION TO TEMPORARILY LOCATE TRAILERS ON RIVER BEND PLAZA Mr. Charles G. Clark, Project Manager, The'Holladay Corporation, 227 South Main Street, Suite 101, South Bend, Indiana, advised that in conjunction with the One Michiana Square Project, use of the River Bend Plaza for the temporary placement of storage trailers is requested. Mr. Clark advised that a fence would be erected surrounding the area occupied by the trailers. The use of the Plaza is necessitated by the fact that the parking lot where they are currently stored is being paved. It is anticipated that the trailers will be located on the Plaza for. approximately two (2) weeks. Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Building Department have reviewed this request and recommend approval_. Therefore, upon a motion made by Ms. Barnard, seconded --by Mr.- Vance and carried, the request was approved subject to The Holladay -Corporation' securing the appropriate Occupancy Permit required to locate the trailers on the public right-of-way APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski; seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the following two (2) traffic control devices were approved: 1. NEW INSTALLATION, NO PARKING - 300 N. Lafayette - West side approximately 150' North of Lafayette. (Requested by Traffic Engineer). 2. NEW INSTALLATION, SPEED LIMIT 20 - 1600-1800 High Street. (Studebaker School & Playground). 1 1
