<br />REQUEST TO PURCHASE CITY -OWNED PROPERTY AT 615 EAST OHIO STREET
<br />REFERRED
<br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Woodie H. Magee, 607 East Ohio
<br />Street, South Bend, Indiana, indicated that he was interested in
<br />purchasing the City -owned property at 615 East Ohio Street.
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and
<br />carried, the request was referred to the necessary City
<br />departments and bureaus for a determination as to whether or not
<br />the City need retain the lot for any reason.
<br />REQUEST TO PURCHASE CITY -OWNED PROPERTY AT N.W. CORNER OF
<br />LINCOLNWAY AND CHAPIN (INTER -BELT) REFERRED
<br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Doug Klynstra, G.M., A.P.M.I.,
<br />American Plasma Systems, Inc., 515 Lincolnway, South Bend,
<br />Indiana, advised that American Plasma Management, Inc., is
<br />interested in purchasing the City -owned lot at the northwest
<br />corner of Lincolnway and Chapin (Inter -belt). Upon a motion made
<br />by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the
<br />request was referred to the necessary City departments and
<br />bureaus for a determination as to whether or not the City need
<br />retain the property for any reason.
<br />REQUEST OF PARK AVENUE NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION TO CLOSE STREETS
<br />FOR TOUR OF HOMES - SEPTEMBER 15, 1985, REFERRED
<br />In a letter to the Board, Ms. Maureen E. DeFauw, Park Avenue
<br />Neighborhood Association, Inc., Chairman, Tour of Homes, 628 Park
<br />Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, advised that the PANA Tour of Homes
<br />is scheduled this year for September 15, 1985, from 12:00 noon to
<br />5:00 p.m. As in prior years, PANA is requesting that the
<br />following streets be barricaded:
<br />Navarre from Lafayette to Park and Riverside from Park to
<br />Leland as the outside boundaries; Park Avenue at Navarre and
<br />Riverside and the intersecting street of LaMonte Terrace;
<br />Manitou Place at Forest and Park and Forest at Riverside to
<br />the corner of LaMonte and Portage.
<br />It was noted that the residences to be open for viewing are:
<br />323 Navarre Street,
<br />607 Park Avenue,
<br />628 Park Avenue,
<br />710 Park Avenue,
<br />817 Forest Avenue,
<br />865 Forest Avenue
<br />1007 Riverside Drive.
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard
<br />and carried, the request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic
<br />and Lighting and Police Department Traffic Division for review
<br />and recommendation.
<br />REQUEST OF HANSEL NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICE CENTER, INC. FOR
<br />DESIGNATED HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACES REFERRED
<br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. John L. Reese for Hansel
<br />Neighborhood Service Center, Inc., requested that the curb be
<br />painted blue and a handicapped parking sign be placed in front of
<br />Hansel Neighborhood Center, 1045 West Washington Avenue, South
<br />Bend, Indiana. Mr. Reese advised that the Center provides
<br />services for the residents of South Bend and St. Joseph County
<br />some of which have disabilities. Upon a motion made by Mr.
<br />Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the request was
<br />referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police
<br />Department Traffic Division for review and recommendation.
