Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Ms. Barnard <br />and carried, the above request was approved. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - SALE OF <br />ELEVEN (11) OVERHEAD DOORS <br />Pursuant to the Board's adoption of Resolution No. 20-1985, <br />declaring various equipment obsolete and no longer needed by the <br />Division of Transportation, Mr. William Penn, Director, requested <br />that eleven (11) overhead doors, constructed of aluminum frames <br />with fiberglass panels, that are no longer needed by the City be <br />advertised for sale. Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by <br />Ms. Barnard and carried, the request was approved. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS - SALE OF <br />ABANDONED VEHICLES <br />Ms. Katherine Barnard, Director, Department of Code Enforcement, <br />requested permission to advertise for the sale of approximately <br />sixteen (16) abandoned vehicles, eight (8) of.which are valued at; <br />over $100.00 and all of which are being stored.at.Steve & Gene's <br />Auto & Truck Salvage and Repair, 3109 South Gertrude Street, South <br />Bend, Indiana. It was noted that all vehicles have been stored <br />more than fifteen (15) days, identification checks had been run <br />for auto theft and the owners and lienholders notified. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the <br />above request was approved and a date of July 29, 1985, was <br />established for the receiving and opening of sealed bids. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS - PURCHASE OF <br />DE-ICING MATERIALS (STREET DEPARTMENT) <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. William Penn, Director, Division of <br />Transportation requested that the Board advertise for the receipt <br />of bids for the following de-icing materials for the Street <br />Department: <br />- Sodium Chloride 12,000 tons <br />- Liquid Calcium Chloride 100,000 gals. <br />- Calcium Chloride Sand 5,000 tons <br />- Calcium Chloride Slag Sand 5,000 tons <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Ms. Barnard and <br />carried, the above request was approved. <br />1 <br />1 <br />
