REGULAR MEETING JUNE 10, 1985 1 �_J Department Traffic Division, have reviewed the request of Mr. William H. Frame to conduct a block party in the 1800 block of North College Street on June 22, 1985, submitted to the Board on June 3, 1985, and recommend approval. It was noted that the petitioner will be responsible for the closing and opening of the streets and alleys with barricades to be provided by the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the above recommendation was accepted and the request approved. APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the following two (2) traffic control devices were approved: NEW INSTALLATION, NO PARKING THIS SIDE - 2600 Kettering, North side between Gordon Drive and Vernerlee. (Requested by residents). REVISE TO TRUCKS OVER 26,000 GVW PROHIBITED - 100-1900 E. Ewing APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATIONS - OPEN AIR STANDS Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following license applications have been received: NAME: BY: ADDRESS: STAND TO BE LOCATED AT: DATES: FOR THE PURPOSE OF: NAME: BY: ADDRESS: STAND TO BE LOCATED AT: DATES: FOR THE PURPOSE OF: Great American Hot Dog Stand David J. Matthews 428 N. Sunnymede Dr. 1016 E. Corby Blvd. July 1, 1985 - July 1, 1986 Selling hot dogs, popcorn and softdrinks Zeke's Electronics Karlene J. Zick 60981 U.S. 31 South 4425 S. Michigan St. June 21 to July 4, 1985 Selling Legal Fireworks Mr. Leszczynski further advised that favorable recommendations have been received from the Police Department, Department of Code Enforcement, and the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for the above applications. Additionally provided with the applications were letters of permission from the property owners. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the above license applications were approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's office for issuance. APPROVE EXCAVATION BOND Mr. Melvin Humphrey, Engineering Department, recommended that that Excavation Bond for Charlie F. Gill, Contractor, be approved retroactive to June 4, 1985. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the above referred to Excavation Bond was approved. RELEASE EXCAVATION BOND Mr. Melvin Humphrey, Engineering Department, recommended that the Excavation Bond for DeVreese Plumbing, Inc. be released effective June 20, 1985. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the above recommendation was accepted and the Bond released.
