<br />AWARD BID. - JEFFERSON AND EDDY REALIGNMENT PROJECT
<br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Neil A. Shanahan, Manager, Bureau of
<br />Public Construction, recommended that the Board award the low bid
<br />of Kaser-Spraker Construction, Inc., 25487 W. US 2, South Bend,
<br />-
<br />Indiana, in the amount of $38,291.00 (Alternates included) for the
<br />Jefferson and Eddy Realignment Project. Mr. Leszczynski advised
<br />that bids for the above referred to project were opened by the
<br />Board on May 28, 1985. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski,
<br />seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the recommendation was
<br />accepted and the bid awarded, subject to the filing of the
<br />appropriate Insurance, Performance Bond and Labor and Materials
<br />Payment Bond.
<br />AWARD BID.ANDAPPROVE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT - CONCRETE PAVEMENT
<br />IMPROVEMENTS-1985 PROJECT
<br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Neil A. Shanahan, Manager, Bureau of
<br />Public Construction, recommended that the Board accept the low bid
<br />of McIntyre & Jones Construction Co., Inc., 2526 W. 6th Street,
<br />Mishawaka, Indiana, in the amount of $115,495.55. It was noted
<br />that bids for this project were opened by the Board on May,28,,
<br />1985. Mr. Leszczynski further advised that in accordance with the
<br />award of this bid, a Contract in said amount was being submitted.
<br />for Board approval. Upon a motion made by Ms. Barnard, seconded
<br />by Mr. Vance and carried, the above bid was awarded and the
<br />Contract approved subject to the appropriate insurance,
<br />Performance Bond'and Labor and Materials Payment Bond being
<br />filed. .

<br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Bill Penn, Director, Division of
<br />Transportation, recommended that the following bids be awarded for
<br />equipment to be used for the alley paving program, said bids
<br />opened -;on May 13, 1985:
<br />Rudd Equipment - One (1) used Hyster Model C530A Pnuematic.
<br />Roller Compactor - $27,500.00.
<br />PNEUMATIC TIRED ROLLERS AND
<br />Indiana Equipment - One (1) new 1985 Dresser Galion Model
<br />P-3000 Pneumatic Tired Roller - $37,509.00.
<br />Willett Equipment - Two (2) new Bomag Model MPH 100 Soil Mixers -
<br />$166,608.00 ea. _ $333,216.00.
<br />Deeds Equipment - One (1) new Huber Maintainer Model M850A,-
<br />$38,710.00. (alley grader)
<br />One (1) Demonstrator Huber Maintainer Model
<br />M850A - $36,456.00 (alley grader)
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and
<br />carried, the above recommendation was accepted and the bids
<br />awarded.
<br />APPROVE;CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT - INLET RECONSTRUCTION-1985 PROJECT
<br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that in accordance with the bid awarded on
<br />May 28,,J985, to H. DeWulf Mechanical Contractor, Inc., 58600
<br />Executive Drive, Mishawaka, Indiana, in the amount of $43,925.00
<br />for the above referred to project, a Contract in said amount was
<br />being submitted for Board approval. Upon a motion made by Mr.
<br />Vance, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the Contract was
<br />approved and the appropriate Insurance, Performance Bond and Labor
<br />and Materials Payment Bond as submitted were filed.
