5 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 22, 1985 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard <br />and carried, the above report as submitted was accepted and <br />filed. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the following two (2) traffic control devices were <br />approved: <br />1. REVISE TO NO PARKING - 416 W. LaSalle. (Activation <br />of Traffic Loops). <br />2. REVISE TO PARKING - 1825 S. Michigan. (Business Moved). <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - OPEN AIR STAND <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following license application has <br />been received: <br />NAME: Flowerland <br />BY: Robert Wagner <br />ADDRESS: 1889 MI 39, Benton Harbor, Michigan <br />STAND TO BE LOCATED AT: 1346 N. Ironwood <br />DATES: May 1 - June 15, 1985 <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF: Selling bedding plants and <br />hanging baskets <br />Mr. Leszczynski further advised that favorable recommendations <br />have been received from the Police Department, Department of Code <br />Enforcement, and the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for the above <br />application. Additionally provided with the application was a <br />letter of permission from the property owner. Upon a motion made <br />by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the above <br />license application was approved and referred to the Deputy <br />Controller's office for issuance. <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - RUBBISH AND GARBAGE <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following one (1) Rubbish and <br />Garbage license application has been received: <br />1. Jesse Foree <br />417 N. Sherman Ave., S.B. <br />It was noted that inspections of the trucks to be used had been <br />conducted by the Solid Waste Bureau and the applicant was found to <br />be in compliance. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded <br />by Ms. Barnard and carried, the above license application was <br />approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's office for <br />issuance. <br />APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the following two (2) handicapped parking permit <br />applications were approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's <br />office for issuance of permits: <br />1. Walter W. Lauterbach, 415 LaMonte Terrace, S.B. <br />2. Dudley B. Myers, 206 Lincolnway West, Osceola <br />REQUEST CURB IN FRONT OF 2117 S. WARREN STREET BE DESIGNATED AS A <br />HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACE REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Mrs. Betty Beckage, 2117 South Warren, <br />South Bend, Indiana, requested that a handicapped sign be placed <br />
