Kruszynski be approved retroactive <br />to April 18, 1985. Additionally, Mr. Humphrey recommended that <br />the Excavation Bond of B. and M. Sewer Cleaning & Plumbing Service <br />be approved effective April 22, 1985. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the above <br />Contractor's and Excavation Bonds were approved. <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORT <br />A report from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating a <br />total of fifty-five (55) properties cleaned from April 15, 1985 <br />to April 19, 1985 was submitted. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the report as <br />submitted was filed. <br />FILING OF CERTIFICATES OF INSURANCE <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the Certificates of Insurance for D & M Excavating, Inc. <br />and Fischbach & Moore, were accepted and filed. <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Mr. George W. Hill, Deputy Director, St. Joseph County Job <br />Training Program, submitted a list containing forty-six (46) <br />claims and recommended approval. Additionally, Deputy City <br />Controller Carol M. Sanders submitted Claim Docket No. 8861 <br />through Claim Docket No. 9475 and recommended approval. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Vance; seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the <br />claims were approved and the reports as submitted were filed. <br />PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR <br />DISCUSSION REGARDING PROPOSED BIKE ROUTES <br />Ms. Mary Jones, Michiana Bike Association, was present and <br />addressed the Board. She stated her association sent a letter <br />in February, 1985, requesting the consideration of new bike routes <br />in the city. She advised that she submitted four (4) maps and two <br />(2) sheets to Joseph J. Pluta of the Engineering Department on <br />Friday, April 19, 1985. Ms. Jones was inquiring why nothing has <br />been done yet. Mr. Leszczynski advised Ms. Jones that Mr. Pluta <br />did send her a letter a couple of weeks ago. He also stated that <br />Mr. Pluta is working on this. The old routes were driven and it <br />was noted that there are still some bike route signs up. The new <br />routes must also be driven and research done on the previous <br />routes. Ms. Jones said she wanted to meet with the proper person <br />to discuss this and Mr. Leszczynski told her that Mr. Pluta was <br />the proper person and she should direct all future inquiries to <br />him. <br />1 <br />
