M <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 11, 1985 <br />REQUEST TO PURCHASE CITY -OWNED PROPERTY AT 901 MINER STREET <br />REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Robert L. Stephan, Attorney at Law, <br />Suite 300 Lafayette Building, 115 South Lafayette Boulevard, South <br />Bend, Indiana, advised that he represents parties who are <br />interested in purchasing or making a bid on the real estate <br />located at Notre Dame Avenue and Miner Street (Lot #25, Key #18 <br />50260920) commonly known as 901 Miner Street. Upon a motion made <br />by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above <br />request was referred to the necessary City departments and bureaus <br />for a determination as to whether or not the City need retain the <br />above referred to property for any reason. <br />REQUEST OF MEMORIAL HOSPITAL FOR INSTALLATION OF TWO (2) PARKING <br />DIRECTIONAL SIGNS ON PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Carl Ellison, Director of Planning, <br />Memorial Hospital, 615 North Michigan Street, South Bend, Indiana, <br />advised that Memorial Hospital has installed two (2) parking <br />directional signs in the public right-of-way of Lafayette <br />Boulevard at Bartlett Street. These signs are needed in view of <br />traffic circulation changes resulting from the vacation of North <br />Main Street from Bartlett to Navarre. Although temporary signage <br />plans were reviewed with City officials, Memorial Hospital was <br />remiss in not requesting Board of Public Works approval to install <br />these signs in the public right-of-way. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the above request <br />for approval of the placement of two (2) directional signs on the <br />public right-of-way was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and <br />Lighting and the Building Department for review and <br />recommendation. <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATIONS - PUBLIC PARKING FACILITY <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following three (3) license <br />applications have been received: <br />1. JAMES COURT <br />OUTDOOR <br />Mr. Leszczynski further advised that the Fire Department has <br />submitted a favorable fire inspection of the Americana South Bend <br />Associates facility located at 211 West Washington Street. <br />Further, submitted with all applications were the required Proof <br />of Insurance as well as the hours and rates to be charged. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, <br />the above three (3) applications were approved and referred to the <br />Deputy Controller's office for issuance of licenses. <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - MASSAGE TECHNICIAN <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following Massage Technician <br />license application has been received: <br />NAME: SANDRA K. VOELKER <br />ADDRESS: 4402 - 3B HICKORY RD., MISHAWAKA, IN. <br />Mr. Leszczynski further advised that the required doctor's <br />certificate, and diploma from a recognized school were submitted <br />with the application.
