REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 4, 1985 <br />submitted a Project Completion Affidavit indicating a final cost <br />of $44,624.00 for the above referred to project. He further <br />advised that Change Order No. 1, approved by the Board on October <br />29, 1984, decreased by $17,900.00 the original contract amount of <br />$62,524.00 making the new contract sum $44,624.00. Upon a motion <br />made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the Project <br />Completion Affidavit was approved and the three-year Maintenance <br />Bond as submitted was filed. <br />APPROVE AMENDED FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL NO. 2992- LANDMARK BUSINESS <br />PARK STORM SEWER AND PAVEMENT PROJECT <br />Mr. Vance advised that an Amended Final Assessment Roll No. 2992 <br />for the Landmark Business Park Storm Sewer and Pavement Project is <br />being presented to the Board at this time. The amended Assessment <br />Roll reflects the current ownership of the property involved in <br />this project. There are no other changes. Upon a motion made by <br />Mr. Vance, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, amended Final <br />Assessment Roll No. 2992 as submitted was approved and referred to <br />the County Treasurer's office and the Barrett Law Department for <br />final processing. <br />REQUEST OF ALSAC-ST. JUDE'S CHILDREN'S RESEARCH HOSPITAL TO <br />CONDUCT ANNUAL "SUPERWALK" - MAY 11, 1985 - REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Ms. Annemarie Yanko, Volunteer <br />Chairperson for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital "Superwalk", <br />57320 Alan Road, South Bend, Indiana, advised that ALSAC-St. Jude <br />Children's Research Hospital would like to conduct "Superwalk" on <br />the public sidewalks and in Potawatomi Park on Saturday, May 11, <br />1985 from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. <br />The route to be walked is a short one (1) mile course starting and <br />ending at the small pavilion on Wall Street across from the <br />Potawatomi Park Pool. From there walkers will walk around the <br />block, taking Ironwood to Mishawaka Avenue to Greenlawn back to <br />Wall Street. Walkers will utilize restroom facilities at <br />Potawatomi Park and refreshments will be served in the park. <br />All the proceeds will go to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital <br />to help fight against catastrophic diseases in children. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the above request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and <br />Lighting, Police Department Traffic Division and Park Department <br />for review and recommendation. <br />REQUEST OF DYE PLUMBING AND HEATING, INC. TO ERECT TEMPORARY <br />TRAILER REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Charles Prestin, Vice -President, Dye <br />Plumbing & Heating, Inc., Mechanical Contractors, 3535 Monroe <br />Street, LaPorte, Indiana, requested permission to park a forty <br />(40) foot storage trailer on Navarre Street adjacent to Memorial <br />Hospital for a duration of six (6) to eight (8) weeks, effective <br />January 29, 1985. The trailer will be used for storage of <br />construction supplies for construction at Memorial Hospital. Upon <br />a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the <br />above request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />Police Department Traffic Division and Building Department for <br />review and recommendation. <br />APPROVE SECONDHAND DEALERS LICENSE APPLICATIONS FOR: <br />1. U.S. AMVETS <br />2. WESTERN ELECTRONICS OR CHAPIN TV AND <br />REFER SECONDHAND DEALER LICENSE APPLICATION OF THIEVES MARKET TO <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S OFFICE <br />Mr. Vance advised that the following three (3) secondhand dealers <br />license applications have been received: <br />
