CIESIOLKA <br />2309 EAST EDISON <br />DISHES, FURNITURE, BOOKS <br />Mr. Vance further advised that favorable recommendations have been <br />received from the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, Department of <br />Code Enforcement, Police Department and Fire Department on the <br />above applications. Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by <br />Mr. Hill and carried, the license applications for U.S. Amvets and <br />Western Electronics or Chapin TV were approved and referred to the <br />Deputy Controller's office for issuance of permits. <br />Mr. Hill advised that there has been some discussion regarding the <br />types of items sold at the Thieves Market, particularly precious <br />metals and the possible need of a Precious Metals license. He <br />recommended that the Secondhand Dealer's License application of <br />Thieves Market be referred to the City Attorney's office. <br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Hill, seconded by Mr. Vance <br />and carried, the Secondhand Dealer license application for the <br />Thieves Market was referred to the City Attorney's office for <br />review and recommendation <br />APPROVE RELEASE OF CONTRACTOR'S BOND <br />Mr. Melvin Humphrey, Engineering Department, recommended that the <br />Contractor's Bond for C. E. Stafford Construction be released <br />effective February 4, 1985. Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, <br />seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above Contractor's Bond was <br />released. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the following one (1) traffic control device was approved: <br />1. NEW INSTALLATION - STOP SIGN - On Johnson at Linden. <br />(Offset Intersection - uncontrolled). <br />APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMIT <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the following one (1) handicapped parking permit application was <br />approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's office for <br />issuance of a permit: <br />Agnes Smith, 1214 S. 29th St., S.B. <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORT <br />A report from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating a <br />total of twenty (20) properties cleaned from January 28, 1985 to <br />February 1, 1985 was submitted. Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, <br />seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the report as submitted was <br />filed. <br />
